Aparthotel Los Pinos

No breakfast. Stairs to 2nd floor very steep and difficult and dangerous to ascend/descend for seniors. No screens on windows aloowing bugs and insects in the room. The owner is a very nice person but I would not stay there again. dis appointed

Good location, friendly staff

The house was quite outdated and dark. We had 2 tiny bathrooms with each a shower and toilet but the showers were hard to get on temperature. It would have been better to have only 1 toilet and 1 shower as long as it is working properly. In our opinion all the rooms were full with sofa’s, cabinets, or other stuff but not practically. There was a sofa in the middle of the ground floor but it was not comfortable and it was not a cosy place. The bed was also not comfortable and we couldn’t get the bedrooms dark.

The location is close to many restaurants and easy walking distance to grocery and fruit and vegetable stores.

The owner, Emma, was at the hotel ready to check us in and to help in any way with specific instructions. Los Pinos is right downtown and easy to find; not always the case for AirBnB rentals. So much gorgeus vegegation on the property, too. The suite itself was well equipped on the main level with a little balcony overlooking the gardens and a lovely second room upstairs. As ever, water pressure seems to be a challenge in Panama. In Los Pinos, hot water was available in the downstairs shower only. That was OK. Loved being able to easily walk around the corner to delicious restaurants and, even, a rock band to hear on Sunday night.

I work online,so connectivity is important. The router was next door which meant we lost connection on the main floor until we discovered something on our own. By working online upstairs, the connectivity worked because, maybe, it was closer to the next suite where the router is located. I hope hotels pick up on the need to have back-up generators to help with electrical drop offs. They're not too expensive.

My wife and I, both seniors, enjoyed our stay in the Aparthotel Los Pinos. It was easy to find and had everything we needed for our 9 day stay there. The gas stove and oven worked well, and there were enough kitchen supplies to eat breakfasts, lunches and some dinners there. The apartment was clean and everything worked well. The stairs to the second floor where the bedrooms are located are very steep, which could be a problem for some. More problematic was the noise coming from a party venue in an empty lot located a short distance behind the apartment. Thursday through Sunday night, there is a DJ playing music until about 2 am. The music, especially the base, was persistent and loud, even when there was hardly anyone there. The walls are a little thin, so noise coming from the party venue and from other units in the building was a problem. During our stay there, one of the units was being renovated, and there was noise during the day, accompanied by frequent water outages, preventing us from using the shower or any of the sinks at times. The setting is gorgeous, the apartment is spacious and the location a few blocks from the main street of Boquete is excellent. While there was generally someone around to answer questions, you probably need to understand Spanish to make this work well for you. This worked for us, but maybe not for everyone. Despite some of the deficiencies noted above, we enjoyed our time there, and might even stay there again if we were to return.

Beautiful garden and view from the apartment. The host was very kind and helpful.

There was some maintenance going on near our balcony and we were a little shocked to see a man since there was a ladder leaning onto our fence.

Perfect cleaning service. Nice staff! Full kitchen appliances. Very very convenient. Nice parking area.

Wifi is not that stable in our apartment. No water boiler only coffee machine. One of the beds in the sleeping room upstairs is a bit too soft and created some pain (we tried switching beds).
