Finca Coyoacán

Brekefast was not part of the agreement. The bed matress could had been firmer for my back.

Had a great stay at Finca Coyoacan. The place was very clean, felt secure, and Jorge was very communicative during my whole trip. The neighborhood is very lively with so many things to see and do. The apartment itself was quite and peaceful, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious.

The room was cold at night and there is no thermostat. Not a huge deal, but I wish I had warmer sleep clothes as I only had brought an outside jacket. They did provide an extra blanket, so that helped a lot. Also, not their fault, but if you plan to visit the Frida Museum, you need to buy your tickets weeks or even months in advance. Wish I knew that earlier.

We enjoyed a very comfortable night's stay at Finca Coyoacán and would definitely recommend it as excellent value for money. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the entire converted finca is beautifully designed. Self check-in was very smooth thanks to Jorge's attention and we were also able to store our luggage beyond check out time the next day. There's also a kitchen with a fridge, microwave etc downstairs that guests can use (although not to cook). Great location a couple of blocks from Coyoacán's market, and one block from the excellent café El Beneficio.

Plenty of restaurants nearby. Easy to walk

This hotel is really special. The manager José and his colleague Ingrid go out of their way to make people feel welcome. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and apart from having beautiful en suite bedrooms, there is a shared living area with sofas and soft chairs downstairs and a kitchen where you can make coffee or light meals - as well as complimentary fruit and purified water. Jorge, the owner, communicates equally well in Spanish and English by phone or email and is extremely helpful. Everyone in the hotel is kind and welcoming.

Everything about the hotel was perfect. The location in lovely Coyoacán is very near the Frida Kahlo house. (Sadly, we were unable to get tickets for the museum - but that was not the hotel's fault. Tickets need to be booked online and well in advance for the Frida Kahlo House and we had left it too late. So, hopefully other travellers will realise that and book in advance)

Finca Coyoacán is well located, within easy walking distance of the two main squares, the Museo Casa de León Trotsky, Museo Frida Kahlo (buy ticket online well in advance), and the Museo Nacional de los Intervenciones (explanations in Spanish only). The house is very clean and secure, with well appointed large rooms and bathrooms, including hairdryer and bathrobe. Downstairs there is a living room, a patio, and a kitchen with drinking water, fruit, coffee and herbal tea. For safety reasons the stove doesn't work but the microwave does. There is a Mexican restaurant (Frida) and a Pizza place across the road and a bistro with some Western-type dishes at the end of the block. I highly recommend Finca Coyoacán.

Great location, and very easy check-in, payment. Plus a very comfortable and large bed!

Only couple of small recommendations - blinds didn’t block out light much so blackout curtains/ blinds would be good. Also was advertised as having in-room coffee machine. Was available in kitchen downstairs so only minor point. Would also suggest that it would be very helpful if they let guests coming know that it’s a good idea to book Frido Kahlo Museum well in advance.
