Hierba Buena Eco Hostel

A lovely family runs this place. It's a tranquil place in the middle of the jungle. The accommodation I stayed at was super cute and simple. The outdoor bathroom is very nicely designed and its quite unique. The yoga shala is wonderful to relax in a hammock or practice some yoga (there are yoga mats there you can use). There are two different river access spots with amazing swimming holes...just a short walk away. The breakfast was simple and tasty

One of the things I was really looking forward to was taking a dip in the pool ... Especially after the hike up from the main road. Unfortunately the pool wasn't in working condition which was quite disappointing.

Perfecta para el contacto con la naturaleza. Si te gusta hacer caminatas, este es un excelente lugar por su alrededores con pequeñas quebradas y el río... además queda cerca a la entrada Zairo del PNN TAYRONA, allí puedes llegar caminando o en un bus de bajo costo... muy buen lugar. La atención de la señora Carmen es muy buena, es amable, te da recomendaciones y el desayuno es delicioso. Nos encantó el perrito "Niño" es una compañía y guía fenomenal. Lo recomiendo y volvería al lugar.

Podría contar con un tapete a la salida del baño. Así se evita ensuciar mucho el piso de la habitación.

A boutique hostel for perfect relaxation in the forest. Thank you for the warm hospitality of Gabriel and Paula, who were there for us at every request. The path to the hostel is a pleasant one through the forest, along the way there are restaurants, a stream with wading pools and a cocoa farm. The included breakfast is a nice touch. In addition to the famous Tayrona Park, the hostel area has a health cafe, beaches in a short ride away, a fascinating tour of a cocoa farm with chocolate tasting, and lots of accessible nature.

Personnel accueillant et serviable. Cadre idyllique dans la « jungle ». Bain a rempli agréable.

The hostel far exceeded our expections with a wonderful greeting from our host, Carmen, who was always happy, smiling and helpful. Due to the price we paid, we expected a much cheaper feeling, but everything from the facilities to the personnel was excellent. While there's no food on the premises a small restaurant very nearby has one of the best menus of the day, we've had in Colombia! The breakfast on site was per plate instead of a buffet, which meant it was freshly made.

Only issue is that Carmen, the main person, primarily speaks Spanish, so if you don't speak Spanish, make sure to have a translation app available! 😊

The difficult walk along challenging path and crossing a river, all of which must be on foot, was not evident from information available at time of booking. Not a good idea with many heavy bags and late night arrival.

El entorno es maravilloso. Las habitaciones son bonitas. Dispone de jacuzzi en exterior. Carmen ,nuestra anfitriona ,es un encanto de persona, atenta,cariñosa.

El acceso está bastante complicado. Camino sin asfaltar. Escaso mobiliario, no teníamos armario ,ni mesilla ,simplemente dos asientos donde poner tus cosas.

El hostal es hermoso, muy verde, con muchas plantas y árboles. Uno se acuesta y se despierta escuchando los insectos y los pajaritos (y de vez en cuando se escuchan a lo lejos los monos aulladores). El lugar es muy tranquilo, un poco alejado de la entrada al parque, pero se puede llegar al hostal en moto taxi, que se puede tomar bajando del bus (una experiencia en si misma). La caminata puede ser extenuante la primera vez (por la humedad), pero vale la pena. Cerca del hostal pasa un río, con lugares muy bonitos para bañarse. También hay un almacén cerca y el restaurante arcoiris, que recomiendo 100%. Nosotros nos quedamos en una cabaña, muy rústica, pero muy cómoda a la vez. Todas las personas que trabajan en el hostal son muy simpáticas, amables y serviciales.

Tiene una excelente ubicación, se accede por una sendero ecológico y al llevar es un sitio de total descanso, donde te reciben y te brindan todo el acompañamiento.

Es lugar está en un sitio alejado, en la naturaleza sin embargo no hay mucho por hacer
