Housekeeping was very nice, good location, clean

The lobby bathrooms smelled musty.

PROS: Cost: More affordable than many comparable hotels in the area, especially for short stays. Location: Conveniently located right off the highway with quick access to most destinations in and around Chicago. Atmosphere: Relaxed and quiet throughout our stay. No loud music, parties, or crowds in the lobby—just a calm, guest-focused environment. CONS: Very Basic: Like most Aloft locations, this one is nearly identical to others in the chain. While that creates a predictable and clean experience, it lacks character or anything memorable. Aloft markets itself as offering more than it delivers. Every time I leave one, I think, "That was fine, but they could do more." Food Options: This was the biggest disappointment. We booked the breakfast package for convenience, but the offerings were limited—basically four heat-and-serve items. The snack area is decent, but overall, the food feels like an afterthought. At this point, they should either improve the options or remove the meal packages altogether. Housekeeping: Still operating on an every-other-day cleaning schedule, which feels dated for a nicer hotel chain. They'll clean upon request, but needing to ask during a busy trip isn’t ideal. It adds an unnecessary task to a traveler’s to-do list.

Clean, right off the highway, up to date, very colorful, nice pool. Looks of space and great bartenders

GREAT HOTEL! LOVED EVERYTHING MUST STAY AGAIN

If you have a travel food voucher from an airline, PLEASE DO Not use it at Holiday Inn Express Schaumburg!!!! My $4 water costed the entire $20 food voucher which the desk clerk insisted I use!! Not knowing any better since this was my 1st time using an airline food voucher I did as asked. What happened to honesty???? Shame on hotel squeezing me & using my entire $20 food voucher on a $4 bottle of water. It was late at night, a long line of traveler, probably taken advantage of the same way I was!!!!
