Quality Inn & Suites Macon North

This place is a dump. Very old and was afraid to sleep there.

While the room was clean, the bed was not comfortable. We stayed on the first floor and our room was next to the metal staircase so we were pretty much up all night. The people in the room above us sounded like elephants on the ceiling. There were a lot of what seemed like travelling construction workers and they were kind of shady, worried about our car getting broken into. For me it was ok, but have stayed in better.

I drive a truck. they said they had truck parking and told me to park in the abandoned Kmart parking next to the hotel. 3 o'clock this morning the desk clerk calls my truck is about to be towed. 250 to keep my truck. don't ever stay here if you're a working man

The room, although not oversized, easily accommodated a king sized bed and couch. The staff were very cordial. The lounge was large and the breakfast area laid out to avoid overcrowding. Food was plentiful with sausage, eggs and biscuits with grits featured. Cold cereal, yogurt and make your own waffles were also available. Enjoy....

The only complaint I has was the fake cold eggs. Variety if toast would have been nice. Mattresses sonewhat firmer than i orefer. Excellent staff and cleanliness. Somewhat difficult to find in the dark and rain.

It was an amazing stay and the rooms were super clean.

I really don’t know what room/s previous reviewers have been in but the 2 we had were the most filthy, rundown and smelly rooms we have seen in 3 weeks of touring. 1. Check in girl gave us little info like wi-fi, breakfast, etc 2. The initial room we were given stank like cigarette smoke. I walked in and walked out and asked for another room. I was told it was non-smoking. 3. The next room stank the same, so I just figured this is how it is. This time I did ask for a non-smoking room. Later on, I found the cigarette burns in the carpet. So, no smoking in the room, huh. 4. The room was not clean. It had been attended to but when you went a bit further in you found the issues. The carpet was filthy and stuck to your feet. We were “lucky” we had 2 towels that were not cleaned well, so they went on the floor as mats. 5. The clock didn’t work. 6. Where some electrical items had been installed, the dust from drilling into the wall had been left. No attempt at all to clean it. 7. The front door was filthy, had dirty marks all over it and had been poorly painted (as had the entire interior) 8. I adjusted the shower head and my hand was covered in some greasy grimy yuk. It obviously had never been cleaned. 9. The bed had a huge dent in the middle so you met your mate in the centre. Normally I am pleased with this arrangement but the state of this room made any romance impossible. 10. There were roach baits in the room and bathroom. Proof of the need for these came when I turned the light out and a cockroach scuttled away from the top of the beside table. Breakfast the next morning was a quick affair with only packed foods from outside providers eaten. The breakfast area itself looked clean but so did our room on first look. This is supposed to be a Quality Inn. There is no quality here just a run down, tired motel that has been given a name we used to trust and is spoiling it. Choice senior management need to inspect this place and have it fixed. As I write this I am in another motel with the initials of LQ, costing $20 more and it is 1,000% better. I normally try to be positive in my reviews but this place was so bad that I didn’t sleep most of the night and couldn’t wait to leave. At checkout there was no query on how the stay was, if I was happy, nothing. Perhaps they are sick of being told they need to sharpen up. Do yourself a favour and do not stay here. If your budget is only 50 bucks forgo dessert and spend another 10 at a better motel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, but needs some maintenance.

A roach 2 inches long in our bathroom. Management said it came in from outside. We did not leave the door open in unpacking and they did not take responsibility.
