The air in the hotel was very warm. The room at night was not cool enough.

Valet service is excellent and check in is easier and earlier than most properties in the Quarter.

Could not understand desk clerk,not very good English

Number 1 reason to book here is location. 1 block from Bourbon Street. Easily walkable to a lot of points of interest (WW2 Museum, cable car lines, French Market area, Mississippi River, restaurants, souvenir shops, etc). The hotel itself is in need of refurbishment. Our room was decent enough size (double) but dark even with all the lights on. Bathroom is VERY small. The force of the shower spray is practically negligible (took me forever to rinse the shampoo out). If you didn't have the shower curtain perfectly set, part of the floor was flooded (happened 2 times of our 4 night stay). Could hear a lot of other guest room doors slamming (not nice at 1 or 2 in the morning). Bed wasn't the most comfortable but wasn't too bad. Can hear a lot of traffic noise and Friday night we could even hear partying from Bourbon Street. The lobby was nothing to write home about--just a very small area of bench seating that was often 100% occupied. Could use more seating area, especially because a lot of guests are waiting to be picked up to go to an attraction/tourist spot. The hotel itself was clean and tidy and smelled nice when you walked in. As mentioned earlier, just really needs to be updated. Kori (spelling?) at the concierge desk was wonderful to work with. She was very helpful and informative about giving advice on what to see and do. Staff behind the desk were cordial (although Jean seemed to be a bit short and grumpy a lot). If you want to have a refrigerator and microwave, you have to pay an extra nightly fee. If you like coffee, be sure to try the coffee with chicory (Cafe DuMond and Cafe Beignet have it). Love it! Be prepared to see a lot of homeless people (sad situations). They pretty much don't bother with you except every now and then we were asked for money. Would I stay here again??--Yes because of the location.

Room was nice, view onto the missisissippi river was lovely, coffee machine was nice, and could get extra if asked. Staff left alot to be desired, some very rude & ignorant. Check in - made to wait until 4.30, over the days we were there, others all checked in on arrival, (had to sit in the lobby due to rain showers), hence why we knew. Asked if we could use the pool area on check out, told no, so I asked later if we could use a restroom & was given key card to the pool area. Otherwise hotel was clean.

Location location location! An old friend and myself met up at the Wyndham to explore New Orleans and the Bayous. Front desk gave us a fabulous room. Small but comfortable.

I wish that there was a refrigerator in the room. I did not like the extra charges. $50/day for parking! Was a bit tooo much
