DoubleTree by Hilton Baltimore - BWI Airport

The star is for the wonderful young lady and the gentleman that answered the phone professionally when called. The unprofessionalism wasn't until the manager, Jackie came to the phone. In all my years, I have never!! It wasn't so much that she wasn't right about what she was saying. I respect that. Her tone and sarcasm was not that of a professional that had been in the hotel business for 11 years as she let me know. I would like to believe that Jackie was only pretending to be the manager. When I looked at the rating for this hotel while talking to her, I clearly understood the low rating. The blessing is that after dealing with her, I called another Hilton Hotel in the same vicinity. I received top notch service and an amazing stay.

I a. A Hilton Honors gold member and was very disappointed with this hotel. Due to a call for bad weather and an early flight out of BWI, we chose to overnight near BWI rather than have a 2 hour drive & rental car return prior to our flight. Figuring Doubletrees were generally good, we booked it ahead of time at a prepaid rate. Our room was shabby, the wallpaper poorly patched and the bathroom in need of a major renovation. The front desk person did not seem to understand when I asked how to get the shuttle from the rental car return. Luckily, someone else had texted to ask if we needed anything so we got proper help via text.

Was conveniently located and the staff was helpful

In our first room, the shower didn’t drain and the toilet wouldn’t flush. I requested a room change and was quickly offered a new room. It was just annoying and inconvenient- particularly after a long day and late night of traveling. The light futures in both bathrooms were very rusty and the wallpaper was peeling off. The popcorn ceilings water damaged and cracking. The place needs a good renovation.

Decent hotel with a great location near BWI and the train station. The check-in process was quick, and they allowed late check-out if you have a later flight. The bar/restaurant was also good, though slow staff due to how busy it was.
