Quality Inn Cairo I-57

Stay here almost weekly. Very quiet, not around anything other than a dollar general which is good. Just a bit pricey for a night.

I would not recommend staying anywhere in this town. This hotel, as well as the town, is in terrible condition. It is past decline--it is in full decay. The doors leading into the hallways do not close. The doors into the rooms only close if they are slammed shut. The pool and the surrounding area are trashed. The breakfast consisted of "make your own waffles" and tepid coffee. The hallways smell. The rooms are musty and stink. The hotel should be bulldozed. The only good thing we experienced was that it was quiet, because only two other people were staying there.

We had a quiet and convenient one night stay.

The best hotel in Cairo, and the worst too since there is only one hotel here. My adivce is to drive somewhere else--this place is beyond worn-down. The room looked like the decor, including bedding, was from the 1980s. The smoke detector in-room was broken, and would go off if the shower was too hot. The fire alarm in the hallway had been pulled out of the wall and was dangling by wires. The pool was a grimy, cracked mess. It's located off the interstate, but in the middle of fields with crumbling buildings. It is like something from a B-grade horror movie. The place should be bulldozed and rebuilt from the ground up.

Needs More Attention on the Rooms and Bathrooms!!!!!

Isolated area with no restaurants. The town of Cairo is in shambles giving an unsafe feeling.
