The hotel was clean, comfortable, and close to attractions, the breakfast was just ok, that's the reason I rated a 9 over all. Thanks 😊

Not enough options for breakfast, no fruit, or Danish, no eggs or breakfast meat. 😟

Larger and/or more pillows

I have stayed many times over the years at this location. I have very fond memories of events, stays, referring clients and companies to stay here when I was a businessowner. I was President of Monroe Rotary Club and always felt loyal when it was Holiday Inn. I have watched it continuously decline. I continue to love the location as it is near family and expressway. When travelling with guests, the pool has been enjoyed I was glad to see it is reopened. The value for the hotel makes it reason I had continued to stay.

Parking lot is now an obstacle course of potholes and ruts. Lighting in rear of building where majority of parking is non-existent. I do not feel totally safe late in evening. Used by numerous contractors and groups, good for business, but not for comfort level in parking lot areas. There is a breakfast available, but last five stays I have not eaten there. The menu is boring and routine. The flavor is non-existent. It is obvious cost rules the items served. I usually now dine outside of the facility for breakfast as there are other good options available. Size of the room is good, but deterioration of structure and furniture is very poor. Wallpaper damaged and covering prior issues. Caulking in various areas concerns it is not even an average, but lousy job (not smoothed over, just "gobbed" over; glops left on tile and baseboards, so no proper cleanup. Mold and dirt present at floor around toilet and shower area. Dirt and/or mold in corner around window/pipe areas. Room is non-smoking, but the odor persists and ventilation isn't removing it, so I suspect carpet and other items not regularly cleaned. Broken chair at desk. Older dresser drawers stick and do not close properly. Drain in tub was out and laying inside tub, caked with calcium and other deposits. One day after cleaning it was sitting on tub corner where soap or shampoo would sit. I understand the cost savings of cleaning only upon request, but I do not like it. To me it is a part of what you should pay for and half the time when requested it does not get done anyway. I had ants crawling in my bathroom and had to ask for it to be treated at front desk, which they did, but if staff is cleaning room - why are they not seeing and addressing it? Thank you front desk for spraying while I was out that day and taking care of it. Hallways smell terrible, again I assume it is the poor ventilation and carpeting that keeps it there. HVAC noisy.

Location, cleanliness, and price.

One wish would be to have accommodations for fisherman. Like outdoor oulets, and a small cleaning station.
