Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas DFW Airport South/Irving

This hotel made our stay and vacation very comfortable and relaxing. Staff were extra friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be staying here again :)

When the highlight of your stay is the friendly shuttle bus driver, it's not a good hotel. There is a floor of the hotel with no ice machine; if you'll be there long enough to need a washing machine, maybe you don't care if you have to go to another floor to get ice, but it seemed like a poor trade off to me. If there is someone on staff servicing the breakfast area I didn't seem them. I also reported that the bathroom near the lobby and the breakfast area had no soap and after an hour there was still no soap in the bathroom. That's crazy to not be providing people a way to wash their hands when they may return to the food service area. Should have been a priority to replace this; especially since the three different times I walked past the woman at the front desk she was not helping anyone in person and was also not on the phone. Just a lot of staff who evidently don't think there is any correlation between whether I'm happy and whether they will still have a job in a few months.

Thee Fairfield shuttle service was booked when I needed a ride elsewhere. The front desk immediately booked and paid an Uber for me. I had not expected that. Service above and beyond. I will be back

Location from the airport was very convenient and from the Cowboys Stadium plus they provided local transportation but everything was within walking distance

Nothing jus a Lil pricey for the time of year but was worth it with the transportation to an from the airport

Good location from DFW and DAL airports, good variety of food at breakfast, we were able to check in much earlier than expected, the person who checked us in was helpful, and the bed was comfortable. Also close to shops and restaurants, and the hotel provided a coupon to guests for use at a restaurant across the parking lot (we didn't use it, but it was a nice gesture).

Rooms and decor are dated, including a very dingy carpet throughout the hotel. The walls are thin, and the hotel is in desperate need of a makeover in so many ways. They also do not provide shuttle service to/from DAL (only DFW, and 5-mile radius of the hotel). Most importantly, the person who must have been on the desk overnight seemed very inexperienced, and we believe she delayed in calling the shuttle when we arrived at the airport just before 7am. We had been told a few days before (when we called to ask about the protocol for getting the shuttle) that it would be no problem for us to call when we arrived, even with our flight arriving well before check in time. But when we called upon arrival, the woman who answered seemed flustered by our early arrival, and was very obtuse in her responses about how long it would be before the shuttle could come and pick us up. It ended up taking an hour for the shuttle to come. I shared this with the manager when we checked out, who apologized with words but whose physical demeanor showed that he didn't really seem to care.

The Fairfield south is a clean and safe DFW area hotel. There are good dining options in the vicinity. The staff is friendly and courteous. I chose this location first for all my DFW area business trip. Van driver, Brandon Lee, is always smiling and cheerful.
