Hampton Inn Sault Ste Marie

Adequate. Desk person recommend restaurant across border. I looked on Google & there was a 40 minute wait at the border that the man did not mention. I was disappointed.

While my hotel experience was pleasant, I must bring attention to the many cleanliness issues I found in my room. There were several stains on the carpet. There was orange mold around the rim of my bathroom sink due to the odd placement of the faucet in the corner of the sink. The shower curtain had a moldy smell. And the worst was when the bathtub had been recoated; as you could tell from the poor edge work on the floor, they left the anti-slip pads in the tub and painted over them, which made them curl, turning the edges into sharp like blades that made taking a shower an unpleasant experience.

It was a nice hotel, I love to stay at Hamptons and this one meets the standards of all the others I’ve stayed at. I’d stay here again!

The front desk man who should have welcomed us was rude. This is not usual for Hampton Inn staff in our experience.

Dog 🐕 friendly, which is great. However, people that do not own animals can smell the difference in the rooms when they air is turned off before arrival. Not the cleanest Hampton I have stayed in, but the staff were extremely friendly and polite. Overall, a decent stay just too expensive.

The bathtub in the room was in terrible condition. The fiberglass was actually peeling off and in some places had been torn away. It needs to be replaced. The shower and tub were unuseable in this condition. Given the significant price that was paid, the room was of poor value for the money.
