"Room booked was not available."

The room was clean.

They didn’t have the room I had booked. Instead of the two double beds room, they gave me a single king, with not even a couch in the room, IN THE BASEMENT! When I asked them to fix it, they said there were no rooms available and offered to return my money and depart IN THE MIDDLE OF A SNOWSTORM AT MIDNIGHT with 3 little kids in tow. The front office person, although sympathetic, kept saying she had no clue how they don’t have the room I had booked. I was offered no information on what happened and no recommendation on what to do (except that I could try to book another hotel).
