The Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk

Great location and good pool area. Free shuttle to the local areas was a nice touch

Decor is a bit "yellow" and lowers the appearance of the hotel internally. Its a great hotel but the decor makes it seem cheap.

The bed was not comfortable nor the pillows. The restaurant had good food but food would often come out cold. Could be due to short staff. No alcoholic menu the girls just fix up a drink and you don’t really know what the drink is or the price until you receive the check. I didn’t not like that there is no menu provided if you are serving multiple alcoholic beverages.

Each time I visit Tampa, I stay at the Barrymore and highly recommend it. It is conveniently located on the Riverwalk with restaurants and places of interest nearby. The entire staff are always friendly, competent, and helpful. However, this time three staff members stood out by helping me recover a stolen mobile phone. After my phone was stolen, the bartender, Kamila, and the desk clerk, Curtis, immediately worked hard and creatively to find and return it. With help and leadership from the manager, Jehanne, the security camera video was reviewed, the culprit was found, and my phone was returned. Kamila, Curtis, and Jehanne are exemplary hotel workers and I am grateful that they went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me. Congratulations and appreciation to them and the Barrymore Hotel!

Staff were great

The ac was VERY noisy. Woke us up several times

No guest safe in the room and the bed was a little broken down.
