On my short stay I had the pleasure of meeting bartender Wilson. I asked for a spicy margarita. He greeted me with a warm smile and promptly began making my drink. He informed me that he was out of pineapple juice to make the original spicy margarita so I suggested to replace the pineapple juice with strawberry puree. He offered to make me an OG strawberry margarita, but I insisted to keep my beverage with the jalapeno tequila as he already poured it into the shaker tin. As a former bartender myself, I don’t like to waste any liquor. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of my beverage. It was sweet and spicy which I loved! A best of both worlds for a person who loves sweet and spicy things. Wilson even agreed the drink was delicious. I need this drink added to the menu immediately!!!! Also, Wilson deserves a raise!

Disappointing stay overall. While the lobby looks modern and inviting, and the bar has delivered one out of two good meals, that’s about where the positives end. For a hotel that’s been fairly recently renovated, the lack of cleanliness is hard to ignore. The decision to keep carpet in the rooms was questionable to begin with, but it’s made worse by the condition it’s in. The carpet is covered in visible stains throughout the room, not subtle wear, but thick, obvious discolorations that make you wonder when it was last properly cleaned (see photos). At a minimum, these rooms are overdue for a deep shampoo cleaning, if not a full reconsideration of carpeting altogether. The bathroom was even more concerning. There were hairs left behind, clearly visible, and the toilet had thick residue, making it obvious it had only been sprayed rather than properly scrubbed and sanitized. Much like everything else in the room, it feels superficial, not actually clean. I would have complained, but realistically there aren’t many better options this week. Most other available hotels are either likely worse or not even in West Palm Beach, and the other local Bonvoy properties were already full. Location is the only advantage here if you want to be near downtown and the airport. You can’t get closer to the airport or I-95, so if convenience and quick access matter to you, that may be a benefit. Otherwise, based on cleanliness alone, Delta Hotels by Marriott West Palm Beach is hard to recommend.

The staff were very friendly, beds comfortable, room very clean, breakfast buffet options better than other hotels in the area. The shuttle buses are in great condition.

The fact that I was unable to book the shuttle service before hand. They requested I call when I land, however, being an international visitor, I did not have a USA number and the hotel was unable to provide me with a whatsapp or VoIP number I could use. It would have been useful if there was another way to book the airport shuttle service to accomodate for those traveling from outside the USA.
