Quality Inn Elizabeth City near University

Had to climb stairs to get to room. Swimming pool was trash. Ice machine was filthy! Front desk person would rather talk to a friend rather than taking care of a new client.

Lady at the front desk wasn’t very helpful , had her son behind the desk , eating while checking in guest , wasn’t accommodating,

The property was horrible , When we arrived they let us know for 2 weeks they have been trying to fix the pool , that wasn’t very helpful.

Pool wasn’t working , Ice machines was dirty , Rooms did not have towels or rags.

Nothing.

I didnt like anything we drove 12 hours all the way from Pennsylvania to find out the pool was working yet they said its being renovated but its not there is frogs living in it its green and mosquitoes like crazy. Then I woke up and found a huge dead cockroach on the blanket that was under the bed I go downstairs and make a big deal and ask to speak to a manager they asked if I was checking out I said no I wanna speak to a manager and she wouldn't call them because they were on vacation and she was very rude and not helpful. Then they were supposed to clean our room Saturday and Sunday and never did. The place was just completely nasty and the worst hotel I have ever been at!

The location is actually pretty decent and easy to find

pool was unusable, green, and looked like a swamp.... Room 1 smelled like smoke and sour lemons.... The breakfast, absolutely horrible, and I know this QI has a full kitchen. Terrible way to treat people... you want your guests to be excited to wake up and eat breakfast at the hotel, and I don't even eat breakfast, but my family does, totally unacceptable. What I do drink is coffee in the morning, and they had one very questionable coffee maker.... I've had better coffee in the Army

I didn't like anything at all .. the rooms were horrible... Non smoking room was smoked out ..No working phone or clock only 2 Bathrags. When I booked the room they said that the outdoor pool was working up and running at this facility just to get here to find out it wasn't open and running yet for season .so I had to change my plans for my children. They offered money back but it was inconvince to me to go try to find another room for that same rate that would be open for double beds. It was a very horrible experience the WiFi was very weak.. 3 people in room and only 2 rags was left . Couldn't call out for more rags to front desk cause phone was broken. I had to use end of big towels for face rags.breakfast suck only waffle maker...no eggs no bacon or sausage...no cream bars no bagels... No fresh fruit...no grits they had corn flakes or raisin brain with no milk... I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.... Next time before using booking.com call the actual hotel to find out what they have first then go to booking.com and make reservations don't take booking.com word.
