Hampton Inn & Suites Southern Pines-Pinehurst

Front desk staff, excellent. Room (401) spacious, clean, and updated. Foes have a cheap coffee maker - should be a keruig- but 24 hrs coffee in lobby. The LG tv is big but not connected to the internet, so you are limited to the few channels on direct. This is a poor decision by hotel management. Connect your tv to your free internet. For now guests can leave their Firesticks at home, won't work at the Hampton Inn in Aberdeen, NC.

The hotel was currently under renovation so a lot of the amenities were not open. We were unaware.

The pool was closed due to renovation, which we would have liked to have enjoyed

Stay was good, nice staff and clean facilities. Only complaint would be about the beds. They were not comfortable and very firm and crunchy

Ample choices of both hot and cold offerings at breakfast. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. the heated pool was lovely, too.

We had an excellent stay although next time I will ask for a higher floor as I could hear the people above me stomping as they walked and although the hotel didn't seem full, we had people in rooms close enough to hear TV's and talking. It would be nice if rooms could be spaced out, if possible.

Staff were great. Got in late and left early, so not sure about all the amenities.

Location was fine

The whole reason we chose this hotel was for the pool and it was Hampton. I walk into the the lobby to check in and the “front desk” is folding tables with a black table cloth. And this justifies a $200 a night price?!? We also chose this hotel specifically for the pool which we learned was out of service. I would expect this of a Hotel 6 or a Howard Johnson. NOT a Hampton. We are done with the Hampton brand.

The hotel is part of a group of 3 adjacent modern hotels, in a nice quiet and open area, full of free parking space outside. There are several shopping centers in the area, most require a few minutes of driving, one is in walking distance from the hotel. It’s a nice 4-floor building with 2 elevators in the middle, and a fair American breakfast downstairs. When we were there (April 2025) there were certain renovations in the building. One implication was that the indoor swimming pool was closed, which was a little disappointment. They referred us to the swimming pools of the adjacent hotels, but they are outside pools and the water there was freezing. The service was really good and kind. Also there are always complimentary bottles of water and some fruits available downstairs. The room was relatively big, clean with comfortable beds, a quiet fridge and a microwave, though the walls are a little thin and transfer some sounds from the next rooms. At times (not always) the shower wasn’t hot enough, but this only happened twice during our several days of staying. Altogether I see no reason for not staying there again. A good choice for visiting this area of North Carolina.
