Hostal la Encina

Friendly man checked us in. Spacious room. Quiet room (a Saturday in early March). Warm shower and heating. Nice area outside all the rooms to meet with other bikers and hikers. Our room had a refrigerator, yay!

Location. You have to walk by some guard dogs located at adjacent facilities, however they were well restrained.

The welcome from Mañuel was really amazing. Such a lovely man! And helpful with local advice on routes for cycling and restaurants. Really authentic local Hostal.

This property is not the traditional property it pretends to be. It is an industrial unit on an industrial estate outside the village, not recommended

clean room, comfortable bed, locked area for e-bike storage/charging. organized eg referral to a great local restaurant for dinner/breakfast was on desk with qr code so can go to website, + map.

had to phone to gain entry and my Spanish is very basic, questions re booking number etc. much easier once face to face with friendly proprietor thanks to Google translate.

The property was curious as it was in the middle of an industrial estate and a little walk from the town centre but it was decked out very nicely. However the reason I would rate it as excellent was the amazing hotel manager who appeared on his motorbike just after we arrived and really made us welcome. He sorted out our bicycles and also helped to locate somewhere to eat and even turned up at the bar when we were having a few language problems to sort it all out. What a phenomenon

There were a couple of rather noisy guard dogs. Don’t know if this is normal or just bad luck, but they did bark a lot

Odd location in an Industrial site. A 10 minute walk to town with few restaurants or facilities.
