Clarion Inn Belle Vernon

Found used gun shells under mattress. Couldn’t get a new room.

We were put in a king room even though we booked a double queen. They had to scramble to find another room and told us this was a “new” room because they suddenly got busy and were all booked. There was dirt all over the floor, small bugs stuck in a spider web, and mold in the shower. The tv had no cable box or remote and had to be hooked up by one of the workers. There was no refrigerator, even though this was listed as an amenity. There was a terrible condensation problem that left everything in the room wet and sticky. The ice machine didn’t work, so we had to get ice from the bar (but had to find the worker outside to get into the bar).

Nice, orderly & clean rooms. The restaurant/bar has great food & friendly staff!

Tv did not get local channels. No WiFi first day then manager got it working. People were outstanding! Great customer service

Had to change rooms the first day, Adam was very helpful. The second room was a disaster, key stopped working every time we left the room, had to go to the desk and get another one several times. Had the dead bolt on but security lock was broken, the maid let herself in ( husband was in his under ware) She said the room was listed as vacant. Wanda was very nice as was the maintenance man. Said we would get an adjustment on our bill, we'll see.

For a one night stay this hotel was a good choice! We had no issues with services, bedroom, and the bathroom inside of the bedroom. All 3 of us were satisfied with the stay, and will keep Clarion Inn in mind if we stay in this area again.

The bar/restaurant was great! They stayed open later than normal due to so many people having fun. The loaded fries were THE best thing I have eaten. Pizza was delicious as well.

This place looks abandoned from the outside and it probably should be. It was dirty, the linens looked dirty, the mattresses were creaky, and the whole place smelled like a wet ashtray mixed with sweat. The bathtub in the room put out scalding water and wouldn't drain. It finally started draining all over the bathroom floor. I have to say everyone we dealt with was nice. I'm not sure refurbishment would help. It might be better to knock it down and start over.

Maybe I'm a little prejudiced because this was the place for my high school reunion. We had a wonderful time, my room was clean, cool, and had all of the amenities i might need.
