The staff at check-in was very pleasant (Phoebe) and the continental breakfast was very good. It was also very conveniently located for our concert at the Bryce Center. The beds were clean and comfortable.

Our floors were dirty… had not been swept or mopped and there was hair in the shower. There was an almost empty roll of tp in the bathroom with no extra roll and only 2 towels for 3 guests.

"Great location and Staff"

The hotel is easy to get to. Close to the college. The staff was the best part. Made you feel home and taken care. Real not fake. Interesting hotel layout. Indoor pool that is very chlorinated. No germs in that pool. Room was comfortable. Bath needed a little TLC on the tile floor. Wet feet pick up tiles :) Restaurant staff were great. Huge portions. Get a box to go.

"Not what I expected."

The location is great. The atmosphere not so much. The hotel was less than I expected. I thought it was going to be crisp, clean and bright. It was none of those things, unfortunately. The weekend was great because we were in State College for the Ironman but the hotel was in need of repair, paint and fixing. Hot tub didn't work. Shower was not good. Elevator needs work. The room was alright but I would have preferred a room away from the pool. I didn't realize that the pool would be open until 10 pm and there would be screaming children in the pool until 10 pm. We would have asked to be moved but found out too late and needed to get up early for the event. Maybe staff should ask if you would like a room near the indoor pool or not before assigning a room. I understand it's the summer, not football or in season, but little things make a big difference. Wouldn't stay here again, only if it gets a complete overhaul.
