Days Inn by Wyndham Granbury

I stayed 2 nights at the Inn. The room seemed clean with everything you need for a couple nights, so thumbs up for the cleaning lady. Breakfast was nice, had some healthy options as well, so, thumbs up for that. However, I woke up in the middle of the night with a strange smell in the room. In the morning I realized that the AC/Heating unit was full of mold, really deeply engraved in it. It hasn't been cleaned for a very long time, probably years. You didn't see it in the dark, unless I turned on all the lights. After my first day in Granbury I didn't have any other choice but stay the second night as I was extremely exhausted and no money for another last-minute hotel. However, next morning I was coughing. I talked to the receptionist, she made a note to the management. I tried to be very nice about it... However... all I got as a feedback from the hotel management was a message 15 min after I left: The issue has been addressed, thank you for notifying us. No apology for making me sick, nothing, like it would have been a small deal, something missed in cleaning. And I've been coughing for a couple days, coughing up nasty, mold smelling phlegm. This is not a small deal! It's a health hazard, people can get very sick from this! And I am afraid with the attitude of no official apology of any kind from the management the issue might not be addressed as it needs to. I waited for a couple days, hoping for something more from the owner or the management. But nothing happened so I wrote this review.

Room was clean, large, bed comfortable, decent. Cleaning ladies do an excellent job. Breakfast was good, good coffee and healthy options available as well.

AC/Heating unit full of mold. Made me cough for days. Talked to the receptionist, very nice lady, she made a note about it to the management. However, no apology from management over the health hazard. This is not a small deal, not something being missed. The AC Units have not been cleaned probably years. They need professional cleaning and service, filters in them need to be changed regularly.

We got down too late to have breakfast. Nice staff.

When I made the reservation I was not aware that there was construction going on. They told us when we got there to check in and banging started around 9:00 a.m. when we were still trying to sleep.

Service was bad. Room was occupied upon arrival. When we asked for another room, the second room reeked of cigarette smoke.

A little sparse but good.

Centrally located.

It was all good, just in the middle of a remodel. The rooms are being redone.
