Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia City Avenue

Manager resolved a few challenges the first day of my four day stay. Hotel is quiet and comfortable. Staff is friendly.

You need a car ! I had planned to use SEPTA but that service was dreadful. I realize hotel does not control thar but a car is absolutely needed.

Rating 3.5 Nice hotel for the area. Waited 10-15 min. to check in which was annoying. Room was ok, door on bathroom made noise (sliding door) when opening and closing, only 3 towels. Pillows were flat and not great and bed was just ok. Not worth the $ we paid but was nicer than other options. Coffee in room was appreciated. Parking was $14.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to Karen in housekeeping. She took extra care of our room and also of us after my husband’s surgery. Very kind as were all of the staff! Thanks so much, Jeanne and Marty

There was hair on my bed and all in the bathroom when I checked in. And staff was incompetent.

Staff was friendly and professional. They do charge for parking, which seems like a money-grab to me. But, they waived it for us. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. Again, the staff is what made it “excellent.”

Close enough to the city yet quiet and convenient. TGIF and Panera next door very handy. Hotel front desk and coffee shop staff were courteous, went out of their way to answer questions/concerns. Room was well appointed, comfortable and large enough for our 4-night stay. Coffee supplies were not refilled for few of our days but the front desk offered us complimentary coffee at the excellent on-site cafe/restaurant. We appreciated the very convenient and friendly shuttle service a couple of times to center city. All in all, this will be our choice of hotel next time we visit the wonderful city of Philadelphia!

Very pleased with the amazing staff, including front desk, housekeeping and breakfast teams but especially with just random staff members on elevators, etc. Seems to be a very cohesive team. Room was very comfortable and breakfast (not included) was very good. Glad we stayed!
