Hampton Inn Gatlinburg Historic Nature Trail, Tn

Checked in. Went to eat. Returned to room with bugs; in bed, on ceiling, on curtains. Crawling and active stink bugs! Asked for another room. None available. Asked for bug spray. Can of off mosquito spray offered! Requested refund. Told "we don't have a room of " your caliber" ". Sounded offensive to me. Told I would have to talk more to management tomorrow. Needless to say, things went down hill from there. One of the staff thought it was funny we didn't want to sleep with a buggy room. We left and got a room in another hotel (no bugs). Next morning we returned to talk to management. She Said, yeah we got a lot oh bugs time of year. You will have to talk to Expedia about a refund. Gave us a bad feeling about Hampton Inns. We would like to request a refund.

Jacuzzi was great. Breakfast was fine. The front desk lady was not friendly. She did not greet any guest nor welcome anybody. Needs more training for customer service. The location is near a nice river.

Nice place to stay

Very clean facility with excellent staff inclduing cleaning staff. It is so close to Cherokee Orchard road and Roaring Fork Road. This close proximity allowed us to do several popular waterfall hikes within 10-15 mins of driving. Also, the location is very close to Newfound Gap road. Every pooular trails were wihin 35 mins for driving. It is only .8 miles from where the restaurants are. If your stay is for doing hikes at GSM NP, then I highly recommend this Hampton location. I would avoid downtown between 9 - 4 though. So many tourists crossing streets slowly cause lot of congestion.

Our room was almost as if we were sitting in a tree house. A creek running just below. It was the best part of staying here. Quiet, very walkable. Large clean room. I'd stay here again.

Location was amazing and close to everything. Hotel was clean but rooms needs updates. Clothes smelled bad after being in pool.
