Lake Suites

Large, quiet room. Very quick responses to email.

It would have been nice to have temperature control. The mini split only provided heat and the remote didn’t work. There was 1 screen for the window, but it was not installed, so we didn’t open the window.

Location was excellent.

Unfortunately these rooms aren't well equipped to deal with the new European summers. No air-conditioning meant that I slept very poorly and it made the conference I travelled for difficult. There was a TV in the room, but this is kind of useless these days without having the ability to log-on to netflix/prime etc.

The room was large and comfortable. We had two sinks in the bathroom, which was a bonus. The hotel was located in a lovely square with plenty of restaurant and pub choices, and was very close to a main street with more choices and shopping. We happened to be there on an unseasonably cold June week, but the room was plenty warm. Not sure how it would be on an unseasonably hot weekend, although the room had a fan and windows which opened. The location was a short walk to the train station and was not too far from the main square. Also, they did have luggage storage which was nice.

When the website states there are toiletries, I assume there are shampoo and conditioner. There was only that bright pink soap you see in gas station restrooms to be used for everything. Yuk. For the price, I expected better. Also, there was a family in the room above us, which got quite noisy with the little ones running around.

Location

Bathroom had a strong smell to it, beginning to have small mold spots on bathroom walls, needs proper ventilation. No mirrors in bedroom. Sound from the salsa class carried up the stairwell till after 2130. Bedroom door had gaps around frame.
