Nothing i find unacceptable

Lovely guesthouse in the old town of Bhubaneswar right amongst all the medieval temples. In fact there are a couple of them immediately next door. The rooms surround a small enclosed courtyard in a quiet peaceful area. I had a non-AC room which had a small attached kitchen and a fully functioning bathroom including plentiful hot water. The room was clean and well sealed against mosquitoes. The resident gecko helped too and at no extra charge. There is no food at the guesthouse, but the staff are happy to fetch local takeaways. The staff, from owner, manager and cleaner were all friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to Bindu Sagar Lake, numerous street food options, the main temples and various restaurants & shops on Lewis Rd.

Unfortunately a stream/sewer passes close to the guesthouse; it can be a bit smelly if the wind is in the wrong direction.

Location is hard to find if you stick to the google maps adress. Instead you must 📍 the big road behind the hotel. There is easy access from there.

The location is an absolute delight. Right next to 2 ancient temples. A short walk to Lingaraj Temple, Ananta Basudev Temple and several others in the vicinity. I did the Mukteswar Temple circuit on foot from here. The Staff (Sukanta) was helpful from the get-go. He helped me with my food order and even with booking an auto to visit the Khandagiri & Udayagiri caves, Dhaulagiri temple, and 64 Yogini Temple. Would definitely return if I ever decide to redo the trip. The rooms are clean, area is quiet and restful. The room has a little kitchenette with a sink and dining utensils as such. WiFi is included and fast enough.

Could do with some DIY tea/coffee paraphernalia in the rooms. They provide an electric kettle but it would be great to have some tea on your own time.

impeccably clean, organized and friendly. The host was available to support. Staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Often in Indian hotels/Homestays, one has to ask for small things which are part of a regular service. This wasn’t the case here- everything was well organized. the location is perfect for visiting Lingraj temple. My highlight- There are two 9th and 10th century temples just next to the guest house!
