The Residence by the Beach House Marbella

Location on the beach great, marketing geared towards exclusive and 5 star stay. Based on our experience operations and staff did not match that positioning.

I responded to a canned reservation confirmation email about making arrangements up front to not be disappointed ( their words) for dinner and beach loungers. Got a flippant response when I requested specific services that this was just a standard email. Responded again stating that I had specific requests to ensure a great stay that I would like to have taken care of, given there email. Was acknowledged on third try. When I arrived dinner Lou gets had not been booked. Received a middle of the pack sun lounger, when 10 beds are beach front which match the resorts guests/ rooms capacity. Witnessed other house guests equally frustrated not having beds reserved. I mean, you are a beach hotel and charge $40 per beach lounger per day, even for guests. Why wouldn’t you protect their experience? Made reservations for two nights in restaurant. Ended up cancelling 2nd night, after we were seated as restaurant opened in full sun on perimeter next to where beach goers rinse off their feet and pool toys. I got up personally 8 times during my romantic $200 meal to adjust the sun umbrella that kept turning. Witnessed staff trying to seat parties in full sun at “best table of house”. Staff was hurried and what I would describe as flinging food and managing the masses. This did not match the desired ambience of a specialty restaurant and hefty meal price.

Good location beach beds very expensive 80 euro per day for 2 beds rooms very nice and clean but very expensive would not stay again , there’s a lot better hotels for less money and better facilities

We have eaten at tge Beach House on previous holidays but decided to try staying at tge Residence as the Don Carlos hotel where we usuallt stay is closed for renovation. . The Residence staff were wonderful and we loved staying there. Will definitely be returning on our next trip ❤️

Great location on the beach and good attention to detail on the design of the room and public areas. The food was good and the staff were great.

5 star quality and choice

Car parking can be an issue . The restaurant and beach facilities are rightly popular

Lovely boutique hotel with fantastic attentive staff. Only wish the pool was heated! Still 10 out of 10
