Hot Springs Hotel & Spa

Our room was upgraded from a cabin to a room on the first floor. This room was huge with the nicest bathroom I have ever had on a trip. The room and facility was so clean it was unbelievable. We all commented on how clean it was. The dining room is located in the next building and we had the breakfast buffet the next morning. Plenty of choices on the food. There were no televisions in the room and honestly, we never missed it. In the bar area they had a piano player with a cello player playing music. It was one of the best evenings I have experienced on a trip. I would recommend this place as you step back in the past.

It's a tad pricey but so worth it for the experience.

The hotel is located in the well kept park around the hot springs. Room and beds were clean, I had a good night's sleep and a nice shower.

This hotel made me sad. It is really outdated and there is no love invested in making the rooms or breakfast area nice. Breakfast was minimal. We paid too much. In the lobby and hallways were a lot of foto's of hunting activities, even with tigers and rhinos. As I said: outdated.

There is no elevator. It is a struggle to climb stairs with luggage.

The booking experience went well. The location was great.

The utter lack of communication. They called to confirm my arrival, they never mentioned they lost their liquor license for the restaurant, they lost their massage therapist, and never mentioned the natural hot tub was going to be cleaned the next morning from 9am-12pm (our checkout was at noon). They did make a ton of excuses, they offered us the indoor hot tub (A concrete horse trough that had luke warm water and cold concrete to sit on and lean against with jury rigged spigots that were in the way as well). While I commend the attempts, it does not excuse the lack of communicating these oversights prior to check in or even at check in. The place is run down (spring mattresses, super loud AC units, very dated appliances, patchwork throughout for everything).

The location to town and hot springs was great. I could walk to the hot springs and there were numerous walking paths along the river right outside the hotel. The hot springs hot tub right outside my room was a plus. The room was very clean, the staff was wonderful and the food was good. It’s a very quiet location as well in a beautiful setting.

The hotel is really showing its age. The tub faucet dripped and the water came out the shower head in a weak stream. There was obvious water damage to the bathroom door from a past flood and the tub water handles were loose.

The bar had no alcohol at the time. I know it’s getting it back, but inconvenient. Thank goodness I brought my own!!!

Dirt under bed, pet hair on bed skirt, frig door drags on the floor, needs defrosted.

The hot tub was the reason we stayed there. It was relaxing and met our desire.
