Country House Villadorata

The property is beautiful at first glance. Over 100 hectares of land and only 15 rooms. However, despite wonderful hotel staff and the setting, management must be changed. Horrible very limited food choices, house keeping is virtually non existent, transportation to Noto City is exorbitantly expensive and scarce.

While in Noto for a few days, my very good friends introduced me to the Country House Villadorata. Slightly outside the city, the setting is magical : you enter a vast domain in the heart of nature, with a fantastic view on the country side in the middle of olive groves, orange trees and vineyards. We went there to experience good food and the Chef exceeded my expectation. Everything is around ingredients and territories with highly creative and subtil marriage of unexpected flavors. A special mention in the menu Acqua e Terra for the Scallops, brown butter, orange and marinated turnipthe as well as for the Roasted turbot fillet, fennel, wood-baked lemon puree and fish demi-glace. It was a real delight and we spent there an unforgettable moment. I will definitely come back next year with my wife and may be stay one night or 2 in the resort.

A lovely oasis with the best service. The rooms are stylish without being precious. The quality of everything-- from the almonds and olives grown on site to the choice of linens and wines--is top notch. The property has a graceful beauty and is super close to beaches and lovely small towns. The restaurant offers delicious food-- we were lucky to see the chef do his magic because there is an open kitchen. The front desk/concierge staff were above and beyond in their generosity and care--from making restaurant and parking reservations in the center of Noto and other towns to making sure we had everything we needed. We will be back!!

This is the most gorgeous place to Stay, eat, relax. The accommodations are exceptional. The food is excellent. The service, kindness, competence and overall 'always there for you' is above and beyond! We had a marvelous stay. This is a must go to. It is a hidden jewel.

Delightful staff. Fantastic chef - great kitchen dining experience. Memorable! Deluxe rooms unimpressive. Dark and cold. Not much natural light. No view ( overlooked a hedge). Internet did not work. No bar or lounge where guests could socialise. Lovely pool but not heated.

The country Hotel Villa Dorata experience exceeded all expectations. This is a stunning property located in the hills outside of Noto . It strikes just the right balance of comfort and relaxation. It is an eco-conscious resort with truly extraordinarily beautiful grounds. You can walk through vineyards olive Groves and citrus trees. The Restaurant provides one of the best and most creative meals we have eaten. Front desk and staff are very welcoming and lovely. Mostly you are left on your own to enjoy the beautiful property but people are available to ask if you need anything. The rooms are simple, but have all amenities and beautiful views. An absolutely wonderful experience.

Over the top, enthusiastic hospitality without any pretension. The staff would remember our orders and wine preferences from 2 days ago and make recommendations. They arranged fantastic experiences outside the resort. When they saw us walking to our room, they would ask us if we wanted a ride. we complemented them on their vinegar and the chef gave us a list of his recommendations. Anything we needed, questioned, thought of, they made happen. The sommelier was super knowledgeable and enthusiastically shared her recommendations. The amuse bouche at dinner was incredible , and there were 3 of them. The food was delicious and inventive. After dinner there was the palate cleanser, dessert, and then surprise , 3 other mini desserts. We’ve been staying at hotels for 6 weeks and by far the hospitality and service at Villadorata surpassed any other hotel experience.

The Villa Dorata is a beautiful hotel, the grounds are exquisite and rooms are well furnished. It is perfectly located to visit Noto, Ortigia and Marzamemi (go there for lunch!). But what makes it special is the staff, the reception and concierge team are superb, organising drivers, restaurants and even parking spaces in Noto with GPS directions. The food is great as well… breakfast is an occasion. We will definitely come back here for a longer stay.

Beautiful hotel, very relaxing atmosphere and probably the best breakfast of our two week trip in Sicily and Aeolian Islands. The pool was lovely and spotlessly clean, the restaurant terrace was also beautiful and food top notch... Would love to come back again if we return to Sicily.

Die Anlage liegt sehr schön ruhig in schöner Landschaft unweit von Noto und weiteren interessanten Zielen (Syrakus, Modica u.a.). Das Beste aber ist die Küche, nahe am Sterne-Niveau!
