Masseria Battaglini

The property is beautiful, surrounded by fields of wheat and olive trees. We loved walking down their road after delicious dinners prepared by Giovannella. Each dish that she made at breakfast and dinner was amazing, fresh, and tasty with local ingredients. We loved everything about our long weekend, and plan to return!

There was nothing that we didn’t like! The trulli and property are wonderful, well appointed with comfortable beds and good linens. It would be nice to have a second bathroom, however this is often just not possible in historic properties.

The location and the exterior

The temperature in the room was too low, perhaps the owner should start the heat more days before out arrival.

the stay was like a farytale... A beautiful soroundings, our room/ flat was realy big and well furnitured with a lot of stile... But the most important thing was The people - Giovanella - she is magnificent cook and first of all a realy great person, her housband is nice and very kind, also the Suzana. I can't forget the stay, and we are looking forward to come back soon. Thank to all to make our holiday something special. Barbara&Tomaz

Loved Giovanella, her husband, and her staff (Maria and Pia!). This is the real Italy and the real deal of “farm to table!” The breakfasts included were amazing! Home made breads and croissants, home made preserves, fresh eggs from the chickens! Giovanella is an amazing “renaissance” woman! Need a tour or restaurant, she handles. Want her to prepare a dinner, you will experience heaven on a plate! Need to coordinate shipping or shopping, she coordinates! This was an experience of a lifetime for me and my friends!

Everything was superb.location is fabulous...the Masseria is wonderful and very relaxing. Giovanella and Susan are wonderful hosts,and the food from breakfast through to dinner( which you absolutely have to experience) is sourced locally and from the Masseria gardens,and is as good as you will eat in any top class restaurant but in a wonderful private setting.cant wait to return in 2025.

Only bad part was when we had to leave it was so enjoyable.

The service was above my expectations, the room was spacious and well made with lots of details and super clean. Its pretty good connected and very easy to find. It's peacefull with lots of vegetation and a unbeliveble feeling. A one of a kind vacation. Well be back soon and props to Fam. Russo and Susan P.S. Gona miss the dogs soo soo soo much

Everything was perfect

The property was amazing for 8 days of remote working (perfect internet connection) and the owners, Giuseppe and Giovannella are beyond amazing at their hospitality. Every night you can experience the finest and most authentic Puglia cuisine. Everything is home made with fresh fruit and vegetables coming from their garden and freshly baked bread. I can’t wait to come back in these amazing surroundings.

This is an oasis of peace and beauty with an exceptional host. The location between Martina Franca and Locorotondo is perfect for exploring those towns as well as Alberobello, Monopoli, and a day on the beach. Don't worry about finding good restaurants -- come back after a day of exploring and let Giovanella prepare you dinner on the patio -- one of the most delicious experiences I've had in over 20 years of traveling in Italy.
