Extended Stay America Suites Kansas City Airport

Property was very old and dated. We decided after a few minutes to not even check in. There was a very dangerous looking person trying to check in being told they weren’t allowed to come back because of previous incident. Overall vibe was just not good. Person at the front desk handled the situation very well and was courteous, but we just did not feel safe in the property

Easily accessible for a traveler, and lots of parking. Rooms easy to get to and spacious. Staff was very friendly. WiFi was several in my room I couldn’t register after connecting. Couldn’t pull up the page.

I planned to stay here for the first three nights of my visit to Kansas City but decided to extend my booking for the full week. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. I will say the water took some getting used to because it felt as if it were infused with saline or a gel and because I visited in the Summer, my room felt humid regardless of the temperature I set the air conditioner to. The hallways were always crisp but my room never felt brisk, it was heavy even when cool. The breakfast they offered was a good way to get some calories to start the day, and everything was digestable. I like that the Hotel was close to a bus stop because it was near the Airport but a fair distance from Downtown Kansas City and I do not drive and prefer not to spend money on rideshare services if I can avoid it. They did not charge me for a late check out, granted I turned my key card in at 11am, however, I did go back up to the room to do my own cleaning/sprucing before I officially vacated the premises a little after 12; for that I am greatly appreciative.

Need airport shuttle back

My flight was supposed to land at 10:40 pm. Instead it was delayed a couple hours and I didn’t get to the hotel until after 3 am. I had to call on the emergency phone to get service and into the building. The front desk agent claimed I didn’t have a reservation and tried to turn me away. I told him I have text and email confirmation of my reservation. He said they purge all reservations at 12 am and charge you as a no show. I asked did they send my money back. He said no. He said he can’t help me. After a few more minutes, then acted like he was doing me a favor by finding me a room when I had already prepaid for my reservation. Told me the front desk and lobby is closed 12 am-7 am. The tub was dirty. The room was high touch surface dirty. The bed appeared to be made up without change of sheets. The area under the pillows was smoothe with wrinkles only in the center like someone slept there. The stairwells stink because they have trash cans like dumpsters in them. Breakfast is only dark chocolate cereal bar, trail mix bar, coffee or hot chocolate. There is no water. You have to buy a bottle out of the machine or get some from the water fountain in the gym. Also, the rooms don’t look like the photos. There’s not hardwood but dirty carpet floor. The ac system was very loud and most times I can sleep through noise. Especially when I’m tired. I want to hide this hotel from being offered to me. Last time I stayed here I walked in on what looked like the front desk selling drugs

The property is in serious need of a refresh. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The panel covering the elevator circuitry was extremely loose and only held on by one screw. There was a serious lack of water pressure in the shower. This was very much a low frills motel experience with an elevated price due to extended stay amenities(cooktop, sink and full size refrigerator). There was nothing egregiously wrong, but it was not worth the difference in price between it and the motel tier below it as the experience is likely the same.

The night manager Exy was very kind and helpful, checkin was by far one of the most pain free ive EVER experienced, Also she certainly was easy on the eyes!!!

Cramped parking with a narrow driveway.Cars park close to the building, but then there is vertical parking behind your car.It is very congested.No vending machines, the breakfast is well why bother.
