GrapeVine Villa

It’s stunning. So quiet & relaxing with just a 15 minute walk into the village.

Property is great for two families as it consists of two houses, there is plenty of space for everyone and there is a very nice atmosphere in the house. The pool is a nice addition especially for kids.

There are many aspects that need urgent update. Furniture is old and uncomfortable from chairs to beds. There are not enough kitchen utensils, pans pots and not even glasses. Although it is mentioned there is no dish washer so adding to the lack of glasses and utensils you will be spending some time washing.

The outdoor design and pool.

The villa is old on the interior, it needs significant improvement. The two bathrooms from upstairs were very small, 1 did not even have a cabin or curtain for the shower. The washing machine was very small, 4 kg, and the electric stove took a while to heat. There was an odd smell in the house and the Wi-fi was very slow. Also, somebody from the staff kept turning off the air conditioning during the day, while we were away and without informing or asking us. So when we got back it was very hot in the villa.

The villa is absolutely amazing, the owner extremely friendly. If you want a quiet super relaxing time with family and friends this is a great place

Booking dot com got my details incorrect which cost me an extra 200 euro for 2 nights which was annoying. Double check what and who you are booking is my advice.

Really gorgeous and rustic villa. The location was fantastic and we loved the little town of Gavalahori and all it had to offer. The owners were amazing and we really appreciated their hospitality. We also were able to pay through the property mgmt company for a yoga instructor to come teach us privately in the villa which was super convenient. Free parking as well and easy access to beaches and great restaurants.

I believe it said there was a gym which we couldn’t find. The beds were also VERY uncomfortable unfortunately. It felt like we were sleeping on the springs only! There also weren’t any screens on the windows so we had a big problem with mosquitos in the villa at nighttime and while we slept.

The entire villa is amazing. It has the feel that you are looking for when staying in a villa. The owner is an amazing individual who is devoted to making sure your stay is amazing

Really nice place to stay with family. In walking distance to center of very nice little village with small shops and restaurants. The owner was very caring. It's a great place to stay if you want to get a bit of the feeling of Crete. Customer service in English was also great via the phone.

The mattresses could be renewed, they felt a bit thin. Otherwise everything was really fine. Be aware that you have to drive to get to any beach and that it's a rather quite spot. If you're looking for that, then it's just great! :-)
