Room still was dirty, found trash in it when we were unpacking, food at hotel restaurant wasn’t good and bar server was just rude, no hot water either. Windows in room were leaking condensation

We have traveled to SLC once a year, for 30 years, to spend several days doing research at the Family History Library and after The Plaza closed this year (where we stayed during those years) we decided to try the Radission because it was the next hotel closest to the Library. I read mixed reviews before we reserved our 2 rooms but we decided to give it a go. We were in 2 rooms on the 14th floor, both obviously had be remodeled. Unfortunately the people who decorated the rooms loved the color gray and the rooms seem cold and sterile. Gray is popular now but will become dated when color trends change. More traditional colors would have been a better choice. The easy chair in the room is very shallow and it is not comfortable. The small refrigerator is basically on the floor and very difficult to use because of that. There are no drawers in the room. The choice to not use carpeting in the rooms was a bad one. The floor can be cold and it is slippery when wearing socks. As had been reviewed before, more than once, the air conditioner didn't work properly and the water pressure in the shower was poor much of the time. These problems are ongoing, the person who responds to reviews has said more than once, and over time, that the problems will be reported to "The Chief Engineer". I have to laugh at that continual response over and over. The building is 40 years old and clearly "The Chief Engineer" cannot fix the problems and they will continue in this building. Thank goodness we didn't have the lack of hot water problem that others have mentioned. My toilet broke during my stay however it was repaired immediately. The entire staff who we interacted with were excellent, too bad the building conditions aren't as well. We ate in the deserted restaurant and we did enjoy the food. Next year we will be looking for a different hotel, too many issues here.

Bathroom was dirty and needed repairs. Room was just not up to standards and definitely not very clean.

It was located downtown, close to many restaurants. There was a restaurant and full bar. They offered room service.

The restaurant and bar close too early.
