I would like to give the hotel 3 stars because overall it was decent. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel due to the overwhelming mildew/mold smell from the air conditioning/ventilation system in our room. This is an older facility and the mildewy/mold smell was evident throughout, including walking along the outside halls of the rooms - my sister even detected it in the lobby. The hotel staff did offer a room change, but we declined since the mildew/mold smell was throughout the facility we did not think a room change would make a difference. When we arrived home all our clothes reeked of the smell. I would implore Embassy Suites Tempe to have the entire facility tested, especially the air conditioning/ventilation system (we stayed in building B, room 268). It is possible that management is not aware of the seriousness of the problem they have as I imagine they probably spend little to no time in their guest rooms. Housekeeping and maintenance staff may be aware, but they are also in and out and may have acclimated to the stench. Embassy Suites Tempe, PLEASE, seriously address this situation. It is not acceptable to house your guests in such an environment.

Room had a musty wet smell upon arrival. The breakfast was not properly staffed dirty dishes everywhere hotel was sold out because of conference and tables we unbussed and only one person making omelets wait time was way too long.

Rooms where clean the hot tub and pool could have used a cleaning they had a little bit of a smell to them.
