Hotel Patan House - Durbar Square

This was hands down my favourite place of this trip I am on. It was a little pricier than guesthouses I usually stay in, but what a treat. Beautiful apartment in a lovely location. I did not want to leave. Much attention to detail: Nice furniture, complimentary Diet Coke. Breakfast also excellent and generous portion.

スタッフがとても親切でした。立地もバルダール広場まで徒歩３分、ゴールデンテンプルまで徒歩30秒程で最高でした。 なにより、部屋はもちろん、バスルームが大変広く、シャワー室もしっかりガラスで仕切られているので、便器が濡れてしまうようなことはありません。快適でした。 階段が少し急ではありますが、荷物はスタッフが運んでくれました。部屋は日差しが入らないようにしているせいか、電気をつけても少し暗いですが、１日中ホテルにいなければほとんど気になりません。また泊まりたいです！！

Excellent location, so central yet set back from the street, such a quiet place. The bed and pillows were so comfy; a large bathroom with space to lay things out. At first we thought breakfast at a different property would be a problem, in fact the breakfast was excellent, led us to have a wonderful evening meal there too. Also, it was good to see Patan earlier in the day, beautiful light too!

No outside space to relax The hall light outside the room, however the staff were very obliging in turning it off in the night, so no problem after all

The hotel is a beautiful place to stay, its traditional Newari architecture and interior design coupled with the friendly and helpful staff make it my favourite hotel in Kathmandu. Its location is also ideal for anyone wanting to escape the noise of Thamel and to get access to the culture and tradition of Patan.

Nothing, it really was a perfect place to stay.

The location is perfect.

Small guest house in a traditional Newar house with four large rooms (one on each floor) and small reception area on the ground floor. Situated in a quiet courtyard very close to Durbar square. My room was big, clean and comfortable with nice bathroom and everything I needed. Staff was helpful and polite and they stored my suitcase while I was on a trek. Very good breakfast was provided in a nearby cafe that was very nice.

Note that there is no common/lounge area in the guest house. This was not a problem for me though. I had lunch a couple of times at cafe Timila, a few minutes walk away, which has a lovely garden and good food.

Hotel Patan House is in a great location, just around the corner from Darbar Square but in a quiet lane. I booked the studio apartment and it was a very cute setup at the top of an old Newari house. The apartment had two little balconies that looked out onto the courtyard. The kitchenette was spacious enough to make my own little meals when I wanted to. The staff were amazingly helpful and went the extra mile to make sure I felt safe and comfortable. Generous breakfasts.

Coming back late at night was super safe, but I wish there were a way to easily get back in the house without having to annoy the watchman on duty.

Everything was perfect ! The staff was so kind, the room was so beautiful, with a very nice bathroom, hot water. the breakfast is not in the hotel but just 3min walking away. the localisation is very central in Patan. you can easily take a taxi to go in other Katmandu’s areas of interest.
