"Horrible, except breakfast"

When we arrived the person who checked us in barely spoke to me and continued to have a conversation with someone on her ear piece. When I got to my room I noticed an over whelming smell of cleaners and heat. I noticed the heat was set at 80 degrees. There was ink all over the floor by the sink and pink stains all over the desk chair. After a 10 hour drive and the check in process I had just had I was going to try and change rooms. Breakfast was great. Ronald the breakfast attendant was very friendly and made sure the breakfast area was clean always and everything was stocked and fresh. On the day of check out I happened to notice the pillow my son had been using the case and come up and it looked brown! I pulled the case up higher and it was a stained mess! Clearly not Wyndham pillow! This was prior guests pillow. Now I know this is directly a housekeeping issue. But it also goes higher up, I have worked in hotels for 20 years. I have worked up into General Management of hotels and I know owners don't always like to purchase what housekeeping needs to do their jobs appropriately because of "cost". Mainly bedding/towel replacements. Which is absolutely ridiculous, if you want to own a hotel take the actual ownership seriously. Same with management stand-up to ownership for your employees. How are they supposed to their jobs without getting what they need? And to address the gentleman at the front desk when I went to him about the pillow. I went the desk and let him know that there was a disgusting stained pillow in my room that my son had been sleeping on for days that was not a Wyndham pillow. And proceeded to show him the picture. He asked me if that was my pillow. Why would I be showing you my own pillow? And why I be telling you about my own pillow? Either way, there is alot to be addressed here. I know this may seem silly because "it's just a pillow". And at check in. Why are you even on the phone with someone while someone is checking in? Make any of this sense to me. Please.

Chris the overnight front desk

When we got in the room we immediately found bed bugs in the room. Then we were told we would receive a refund the next day. When we went to collect the refund we were told they need to do a bug check on the room before they could give the refund. The room was filthy when we entered it. They did move us to another room and that room was even more dirty.

Easy check in. Nice staff and very clean and comfortable rooms. We drive OTR and is nice to have this at a reasonable rate!! They are pet friendly and have smoking rooms for those that still prefer that in a room for the same price.
