Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina

Gorgeous grounds. Loved sitting in the chairs looking over the marina, the pool area was nice, and the patio for dining/drinks was top notch also. Only complaint is the room was very old, dusty, and the view of the parking lot was not pleasing to the eye. Next so time we’ll definitely request a room with the lake view.

We booked our July weekend trip with 4 total rooms with a large group of people. 3 of the rooms were on the same reservation through Expedia and 1 was through the hotel directly. The 1 through the hotel had no issues. The reservation with 3 on it came through with some confusion and only booked 1 room for us. After speaking with Lucas at the front desk and finding this out, I was more than a little mad. We had 3 cars full of people and luggage ready to check in and relax. Lucas could sense I was beyond frustrated. He went back and spoke with the General Manager (Jessica Atchison) and they moved some things around. They explained that sometimes through a 3rd party site it can come though their computer differently and cause some confusion. After this, the trip went sooooo well. We had so much fun renting a boat the next day from the marina as well. Anyway... this was not our first or last trip here. We loved the stay and aside from the check-in issue, the staff and the stay was perfect! Thank you Lucas & Jessica for doing a great job!

We have friends that boat on Lake Monroe and they were able to join us for dinner at the bar, friendly staff had a pleasant stay.

Fun experience- family enjoyed the very clean lake. One down side was the cell service. I was in SOS mode even while on their WiFi.

There were ants in my bed upon check in. They gave me new sheets. The next day my brand new crumble cookies were covered in ants and had to be thrown away. They sent maintenance up with bug spray and compensated me by giving me $20.00 in hotel bucks. Terrible customer service.

We were amazed and a bit surprised how much we enjoyed the stay. Exceeded expectations. Marina and pool were awesome. Grounds are very nice. Although the facility was built many years ago it has been nicely updated and maintains its original charm and character. Great getaway option for sure

The property is nice enough. People were friendly. Ideal if you have a boat and need a place to crash. I felt a little shamed for using a third-party booking site, and you cannot book a lakeside room if you book that way. The property does most of its business during the summer and it was packed the weekend we were there. Bring your patience with you if you plan to hit up their Windjammer restaurant and bar. Breakfast only in their Tradewinds restaurant, which is typical of the standard travel hotel complimentary variety, and not free on the weekends. The lake view from the hotel is pretty much a view of the huge marina. Locals say to give The Pointe Golf Club and The Rusty Anchor a chance, which are both close by.

The servers at the restaurant never came to get our order, we sat for about 20 mins, and they acted like th ey didn't see us, which was impossible, because they looked right at us as we walked in and several times after. We finally went up to the bar and ordered pur food. The bar tender was great, so he got a decent tip and a lot of thank you's. Housekeeping was very helpfull, and kind, and the room was clean..

Very run down. Some of the employees were rude. Were not even asked how our stay was when we left. Continental breakfast was toast, bagels, 3 kinds of cereal and apples. Room was SO dusty. Vent in bathroom had dust hanging from it. Lamps were nasty. Was never told have to ask for them to clean your room if staying more than one night and was hung up on when I was asking the front desk about it. Were abruptly kicked out of the pool on Monday and told they needed to shock it and wouldn’t be opened again until the health department came. Monday was the cleanest the pool was our whole stay so I have a hard time believing they really “needed” to shut it down at that time and it was more of a convenience. We were there to get some sun and don’t have a point so just another disappointment of our stay. When they add scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, and biscuits and gravy(what you get for free at many other hotels) you pay $14.95/per person😂😂😂 Buckets catching drops of water in the lobby, halls, bar, restaurant. Again, could be a great place- great location and amenities available, but very poorly run and run down. Spend your money at a different lake resort.
