The staff were kind and respectful.

Rooms were dirty, smells bad, and outdated.

DON'T DO IT! it is never worth saving a few pounds at the price of peace of mind. that's the short version. We arrived around 3.30pm. Unusually as we arrived a huge sign stating that under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is the hotel liable for any damage caused to cars parked in there parking lot. Every hotel has this, usually on a small sign at the reception desk. it soon became apparent why this sign was there. We arrived and thought we would be a room similar to the ones posted on all websites when booking this hotel. A lovely bright magnolia painted room. (Go check). The one on the website we booked from. We were very shocked to be shown a room painted dark blue, dark, dingy, dirty, Tiny bed. Asked to change room and an extra charge of $10 was paid to do so. This hotel was already upsetting, but at shortly after 4pm we heard lots of noise of trucks arriving. This hotel has lots of construction workers staying here with lots of large noisy work trucks coming and going. NOW we understood the large sign. Our room was behind a set of stairs and shortly after the workers arrived, they had music playing very loudly on the balcony with them all chatting and smoking, dropping cigarette buts on the floor around the door. Due to the tv not working, someone from reception came and offered to move us to another room again. We agreed and were moved to an end room, ground floor behind the next block. Done. The room was worse. See the pictures below. I believe the rooms have been painted darkly to hide the stains and things that workers don't care if they cause. The bath tub was covered in cigarette burns, there were cracks everywhere and i could not even touch the tv remote without first cleaning it. Also see photo below. This is one of the very worst hotels we have ever stayed in in Florida. The area feels unsafe and has a lot of clearly homeless/ people on low budgets that appear to live in this and the hotel behind it. The side note on this was staff were ok. The best, friendliest being the woman on for breakfast.
