Super 8 by Wyndham Austin South / I-35

Tv didn’t work, he to ask for towels, didn’t feel safe to walk around the premises with homeless and drug users hanging out on the parking lot. Definitely won’t be staying there again.

Advertised was a coffee maker in each room and a free breakfast. There was no coffee maker, and the breakfast was basically some muffins and a waffle iron. The whole area where breakfast was was filthy. Our room was filthy. All they do is make the beds and replace the towels. As for an actual cleaning (like the floors), not at all. There were stains on the walls. No trash can. People shouting and yelling all night, slamming doors. A lot of homeless people in the area (which is really sad). Very dangerous area. I will never stay here again.

This property is completely filled with criminal, drug, and illicit sex activities. Homeless, criminals, and sex workers have complete taken this property over. The facility clearly reflects this with its terrible condition and lack of proper upkeep. It’s the kind of location that would normally be charging hourly rates. Wyndham should remove the Wyndham name from this property. Travelocity should remove this property from their listings. UNSAFE and UNFIT for habitation!

First the breakfast area was dirty and messy. Bread and muffins was hard and dry. Homeless was outside all night fight, yelling and begging. Breakfast was only setup one day.

Let’s just say there’s quite a bit of riff raff around the property. I felt that I was being closely monitored by the residents of this hotel. Quite a few homeless around the area in the evening as well. Definitely didn’t give me warm and fuzzies.

This location we felt very vulnerable to the high amount of drug activity in the parking lot. We arrived a few hours prior to our check in an were told we could not wait in the lobby so we had to deal with people on meth and fentanyl running around throwing their fists in the air at nothing. They hassled us for wanting more towels and their ice machine didnt work. 2/10. Atleast the bed was comfortable.

Don’t trust the pictures; the property is in very poor condition and filthy. First room I checked into was clearly not housekept, tv didn’t work, fridge was missing parts, bathroom tub and faucet were rusty. My stay in Austin was short so instead of leaving, which I should’ve, I changed rooms the next night. It was a little better (259). The breakfast is not breakfast, WiFi does not work, a lot of squatters. All in all, the staff and owners have allowed the property to be a piece of garbage and alright with that as long as it cash flows.

This is the worst place I ever booked. We left 10 minutes after checking in. The motel has lots of homeless people wandering through the parking lot, rooms are filthy and you just don't feel safe. I contacted Super 8 about this and there customer service has been terrible. Won't ever stay with them or Wyndham ever again. I got a nice Hilton across town which was brilliant.

Arriving, I immediately knew it wasn’t going to be a great experience. Checked in quick. Looking for room, noticed quite a few homeless around. Get to the room, not bad at first. Go to put some stuff in the fridge, it’s not plugged in and there’s roaches in the fridge and in the room. The restroom looks like drugs were done in there and bites the shower. The lights in the room barely lit the room when it was dark. Gun shots went off our first night as well.

Trashy area. Gunshots. Homeless everywhere. Room was disgusting
