Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Waltham

We regularly visit the Boston area in the weeks before Christmas and this was our third visit to this hotel. The room rate for our dates was quite reasonable, the location is handy, parking was easy and the free hot breakfast was way above average. The very comfortable suite-style room felt like home, right down to the difficulty we had figuring out the TV remote! We will return. We noticed an error on our bill (double charged for our second car) but it was corrected quickly.

Stayed at the Embassy Suites in Waltham, MA and had a great experience. The service was genuinely friendly and helpful from start to finish, which made the stay easy and low-stress. Parking was surprisingly affordable compared to most places in the area, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained. The real standout was the breakfast! It was fresh, made to order, and actually nutritious. Overall, a satisfying, comfortable stay that felt well worth it.

We had our car window smashed out and all of our Christmas presents were stolen! As we were waiting for the police to arrive, another couple came out to find that their car was stolen!! We were both parked right outside the front entrance and a few parking spaces to the right. The lot was well lit and there were signs everywhere saying that unregistered cars will be towed after 11 PM--giving the FALSE impression that the parking lot was under surviellance. It was NOT and there are no security cameras there either. As for the rest of the stay, the room was run down with ripped drapes and shabby furnishings but appeared to be clean. The "full" breakfast was basically a typical continential breakfast. On a positive note, the front desk employees were all very nice.

The room we received initially was not consistent with our booking, but was adjusted on request. The pillows were awful! For medical reasons I sleep more upright than some and it took 6 pillows to attain any loft.

the hotel itself is beautiful but listing it as in Boston is a bit of a stretch as it is 17 plus miles out of the city

This is by far the worst Embassy Suites that we’ve ever stayed at - and we’ve stayed at several. The hotel is very ran down. The lobby and bar/restaurant area is fine but the rooms are awful. We had two adjoining rooms- one reeked of stale cigarette smoke and the other one smelled like mold and mildew. The chairs in the living room areas were filthy on the arms. We asked to move rooms but they couldn’t accommodate us. When I explained the smell issues with the rooms to the front desk , he literally rolled his eyes at me. We were with a group of 20 other people and everyone had the same complaints about dirty, smelly rooms. The bathrooms had water damage on the baseboards, peeling wallpaper at the bottom of the wall from being wet and the bottom of the door was swollen from the water damage and the paint was peeling off the door. The beds were well used with sinking spots in the mattresses. We ended up checking out a day early because we couldn’t stand the smell of our rooms. 2 of the 3 elevators were in working order, yet they would stop on random floors and sometimes the wait for an elevator was excessive. The breakfast was good and the location was too, but that did not make up for the disgustingness of the rooms! This hotel needs a major renovation!
