Bedda Eco Cottages

The location is just perfect. Near the road and not too far from a village where to buy some foods/drinks. The wooden cabanas are nicely hidden under the rain forest and located within just few meters on top of the river. Despite being close to the road, it s very quiet and with the river/forest view straight from your bed, makes this place a truly gem. The place has AC and hot water (surprisingly working very good), water kettle and plenty of space to leave your stuff. The bed were clean and comfortable. The owner is super reliable in anything you need, treating you amazingly with tasty food and drinks, but also giving you all the privacy you need. The room/bathroom were clean enough and when we decided to extend our stay, we received new bedsheets and towels and a cleaning service. Regarding food we had a very fulfill daily breakfast and super tasty dinners (every day something different) to enjoy on the private balcony/terrace. Overall this is an amazing place so far to enjoy a bit of peaceful, nature and relaxing with the view drinking a cup of tea.

The AC was working fine, but after a couple of day it started leaking a lot of water from inside. We tried to don’t use it much but being raining and very humid (off-season), it was good to have the AC on. We commented it to the owner and he came straight away to look at it, however it couldn’t be fixed at the time, so it was a pity but we have handled it without complaints.

it’s a very cute place, all made of woods. located just on the riverside. many birds singing around. there is a big terrace in front of the entrance, perfect for morning yoga. bed is very big and comfortable. we have visited national park near by and saw many animals, different lizards, snakes, birds. our trip was perfectly organised by the owner. he is very nice man and friendly, we have enjoyed his company. especially we want to notice that food was amazing, like in a good restaurant. we definitely will remember our stay and come back again! 😊

Absolutely in love with the place and the hospitality. We loved this spot. The cottage is great. The bed was very big and comfy. The river view of front balcony is lovely.also we enjoyed the hospitality of Buddhika and staf.chf Nihal is very nice guy. Srilankan trickle honey and buffalo curd is amazing. We highly recommend romantic place in bedda eco cottages. Good luck

We was warmly greeted by a best fresh tea .The surrounding (view of Nilwala river and the tea estate) make our mind relax and so attractive.The continental breakfast we had was delicious .Also we should remind the main chef who was very friendly with the visitors.Also the the manager,Mr Buddhika was very friendly and and helpful. The cottages were very comfortable.The surrounding was very cool.Sonud of the river was like a music 🏞️.The evening time we spend there was amazing.We had a hot coffee ☕and a sweet meet called "Halapa". Nothing to say about bad experience.The two days we spend there were amazing and memoryble.

It was an amazing experience close to the nilwala river. Mainly we like the quietness and the sound of water lapping of the nilvala river soothes the mind. i would never expect this much of relaxed environment like this. The property owner Mr.Buddhika was an amazing, grate helpful kind person and he was keeping the spot quite nicely. Definitely you can get more than what you pay for by visiting this site. It is truly an eco-friendly place. The cottage was separated and it contains a large bedroom with a king-size bed, a bathroom & a private balcony with a river view. The cottage was well-cleaned and tight. The food was exceptional and the Typical Sri Lankan village food served was fabulous. Chef, Mr.Nihal was an amazing guy with all kinds of food displays. We stay one night and they make it to an unforgettable day. They are mainly served typical Sri Lankan village dishes and you can order any item as your wish and the chef, Mr.Nihal was ready to bring it up to you. Such as jack fruit curry with Sri Lankan dry fish curry was mind-blowing. Nothing to say about it. For the kids, we request some additional low-spicy meals and they made them superbly. You can have a river bath also and it was well safe. We were very satisfied with our one-night stay and looking forward to visiting again. Keep up the good work and thanks for the exceptional hospitality extended to us during our stay.

Everything was perfect and straightforward and nothing to say about Bad Experience.

The location is perfect. Because the property is in a small jungle, which bordering to a river bank. The way to reach for the property also very easy. We enjoyed the noisy of various type of birds & sound of the flooring water in the river. Our cottage was separated & it consisted with large bed room with a king size bed, bath room & a private balcony with a river view. Foods also exceptional. Breakfast gave us different experience since they provided us village foods on our request. Lunch & dinner also available with different kinds of dishes in Sri lankan & other. Village Kithul tricle & curd they provided were very delicious. Hotel staff also very friendly, specially Cheff, Mr.Nihal is a very outstanding person. Although we booked the property for one day, we stayed additional one day at there, since the calm & quite environment of the property & we wanted to bath at river during following day.

Food was outstanding that Sri Lankan and other menus were available. I enjoyed specially the Jack curry and Dried fish "badum".
