"Bait and switch"

4.0

I have quite a few complaints about this location, but let's start with the things i actually liked. The location is great. Close to the train and Kyoto station. The neighborhood is quiet. Now all the stuff I disliked. Firstly, the building you arw shown is not whwre you stay. You stay i. The building next door. Whic, h when we arrived, is an active construction site. The persons who checked us in were thr workers. Who are from Taïwan. They barely speak Japanese let alone English, so check-in was difficult. Next we go to the room and it fits 3 futons, but there is no floor space to open up your luggage. There are also no shelves or surfaces to put anything on. So you have to put everything on the floor. Did I mention that it was an active construction site? When we arrived there was no hot water coming out of the sink. After some digging we discovered that the supply wasn't opened. We had to go in and open it to get hot water. In the shower the light didn't work. We had to take thr cover off and tighten the bulb so that it would work. Really disappointed with this location.
