QUALITY OF WELCOME AND QUIET PLACE

The location was idyllic and very scenic and very convenient for touring around the island. The hosts, Ellie and Andy, couldn't have been more warm and friendly - welcoming us in the afternoon with coffee and cookies. The accommodation is immaculate with nothing overlooked. I have never seen a more impressive breakfast menu, not even in 5 star hotels. We were touring around Scotland and some nights we stayed in hotels which paid double for but in all honesty Ceol Na Mara offered more for half the costs. Also parking is free and right outside the accommodation. There is also a lovely lounge with huge windows looking out to beautiful views to relax in and especially welcome if there is a rainy day.

Nothing needed improving.

Wir haben selten, vermutlich noch nie eine Unterkunft - zumal eine private - erleben dürfen, die mit jeder Pore, jedem Detail, jeder Entscheidung so konsequent Qualität und Stil geatmet hat wie diese. Sehr nahe an Talbert gelegen, von der Mikrolage her eine Oase, das Zimmer ebenso gemütlich wie der große Aufenthaltsraum und der Frühstücksbereich, sorgfältige durchdachte Nettigkeiten allerorten, ein Badezimmer mit den Essence of Harris Produkten, Zimmer und Bad am Morgen gemacht und die reiche Auswahl an unvergleichlichem, von Andy und Elly individuell zubereitetem Frühstück. Der Hammer! Wie schade, dass wir nur zwei Tage hatten.

So sehr ich mich auch anstrenge und so intensiv ich auch nachdenke: Nichts. Nada. Niente,

Can’t think of a single thing

Wonderful hosts, beautiful setting just 4 minutes’ drive from the ferry, excellent breakfast. We also ordered a platter for Sunday since everything is closed that day, including restaurants, and it was delicious and more than ample. Andy and Elly were most congenial and took good care of us. We’d happily stay there again. The lounge was a great place to relax, socialize with the other guests, and enjoy the view of the loch and the animals.
