South Platte Cabins & Kennels

We loved the quiet privacy without noise in the hallways of a hotel. We liked the little lake. We liked breakfast included.

directions (since there is no more AmeriCinn at that location.) Didn't like dragging luggage and stuff up the bank.

The bed was great, the room was clean just not finished. Breakfast was good

The room did not seem finished from previous cleaning. There was a empty toilet paper roll on the roll by the toilet, there were no soaps or anything by the sink. There was only decafe coffee pods with no sugar or anything else. The sink and shower seemed to only have cold water!

Perfect place to spend an evening if you are traveling with a pet. Very quiet.

We have stayed at the cabins multiple times and only complaint is that they could clean the restroom areas better.

Very nice tiny cabin. Suited our need very well. Close to a Mexican restaurant, which was fabulous. Had breakfast in the hotel associated with the tiny cabin, which was good...not great, but good.

Cabins are located just off the interstate and could hear the traffic, so they aren't well insulated for sound. Instructions in email and on site to contact the hotel were incorrect. The hotel was no longer the hotel listed in the email. We couldn't find the hotel we were instructed to go, so we eventually called the number to find out that the hotel had changed names to Comfort Inn, but that was not updated in the email received the morning of the check-in. The sign on a pole outside the cabins also lists the wrong/old hotel name. We wasted quite a bit of time trying to figure this out prior to arrival. Also, there are solar light pucks sticking up out of the flooring of the porches running along the front of these cabins right where you would walk, making a tripping hazard. Why aren't these lights placed out of the flow of foot traffic?

Misleading and Uncomfortable – Filing an Insurance Claim This campsite was advertised as a serene retreat by a beautiful river, but it was a disappointing letdown. The cabins sit by a mucky pond behind a hotel parking lot, surrounded by litter and debris in the so called 'campground'. A strong chemical odor inside made it hard to breathe, even after airing out. Other guests were leaving, equally let down by the false advertising. I had to check out shortly after arriving to find another place. I’m filing an insurance claim with photos of the unkempt area. Look elsewhere for a peaceful stay—this isn’t it.

Such a treat. Loved the cabin for an overnight with two dogs. Very quiet and restful. Well equipped
