Cat and Custard Pot Inn

We stayed 2nts having previously visited by chance for dinner. Very dog friendly (ours was a bit barky - apologies to other guests!). Room was comfortable and very clean. Dinner was good - breakfast excellent. Breakfast hostess was absolutely lovely friendly but not intrusive - a real asset to the place. Didn't much care for the bar manager but believe he was agency so will probably not be there long. Lovely area to visit and would definitely recommend this place for staying or just dining.

This is an excellent, clean and modern-looking stone pub with plenty of on-site parking. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the pub meals and breakfast were excellent. There’s a variety of rooms. I was staying by myself in the Elmleaze attic room. If you are a tall or large person this room would not be a good fit; you’d have to be a contortionist to get in to the room (with its odd shaped door) and to be able to shower without banging your head.

One night a stay on business. Home cooked food fresh cooked breakfast. Shower and bathroom all good very friendly and polite staff.

The location was convenient for our purposes. For the size and condition of the rooms they were the most grossly over-priced accommodation that we stayed in on our whole trip.

Friendly (but busy) staff, nice room but the heating didn’t come on and the water was very hot ( even the cold water was a bit warm).

Nice and quiet, staff very friendly, helpful and polite. Good food and a popular place. Plenty of places to walk although several of the public rights of way have stone wall styles which make it impossible for large dogs to get over unless you lift them. Overall though, very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

We had a lovely few days here the staff were welcoming and the choice of dining was excellent particularly the pizzaria. The rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable
