Residence Inn by Marriott Norwalk

The staff was very friendly and the room was beautiful.

Loved the place. Only downside was my room was near the tracks so I heard it constantly at night when trying to sleep.

I recently stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Norwalk, Connecticut, and it was a truly disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful stay. Loud music from the rooftop venue literally vibrated the walls of my room at night, making it impossible to relax or sleep. There was a sound machine next to the bed which did nothing and was a clue that this is an ongoing problem. I've stayed in a lot of Residence Inns and a sound machine is not a standard amenity. I asked the receptionist to have the manager call me but after two plus hours I was told that "Nick" had left the property and there wasn't a manager on site. The receptionist repeated assurances led to nothing, leaving me frustrated and exhausted. I was on the 8th floor and my associate was on the 4th floor and we both heard and felt the loud music. The next morning I asked the front desk for a refund of my room as I did not get what I paid for. The next day "Nick" approved a 50% refund. Still not a happy customer. PS. And anyone who is chemically sensitive, the hotel has a chemical smell from cleaning products.

Clean and super comfortable bed and pillows.

I got there at 9:30 pm. Settled in went up to the rooftop bar at 10 to have a night cap and they told me they just closed. :(

What a wonderful location and perfect place to stay. The staff was wonderful . . . Judine, Debbie, and a lady in the morning near the breakfast (I did not get her name). Clean, safe, and near a police station (although we felt very safe at this location with or without the police). The room was comfortable and we loved the breakfast as they had oat milk, fruit, and wonderful coffee. Thank you so much. Hope to stay here in this positive environment again!! Oh, they are also pet friendly. Thanks, L&R
