This place was absolutely beautiful. They have their own private cenote. It's quite away from dining but would definitely stay here again. Oh and only downfall is that AC can only be used from 9pm - 7am.

"Good stay at the Cormoran."

10.0

We had a great time at the Cormoran. I will say, it is basically the southernmost hotel on Tulum beach and getting in and out of there every day through that road is kind of a nightmare, so keep that in mind if you're leaving the Tulum Beach area...even the north end of the beach can take a while to get to by car. Otherwise, the Cormoran was great. Breakfast was meager...coffee, toast, and fruit, but the rooms are cool and so is the cenote. Lots of cool fish swimming around and very pretty.

Wow, what a beautiful hotel! My wife and I came here for a relaxing trip, and enjoyed so much basically having a cenote all to ourselves. The location is great, close enough to the hustle and hustle but far enough so that you don’t have to worry about relaxing. It’s also right next to the area’s biggest biosphere, which I would highly recommend! Thanks to all the helpful staff who were always cheerful and helpful at any hour.

This hotel met and exceeded all of my expectations. The staff was incredibly courteous and friendly. The place is absolutely gorgeous. You’re lucky if you get to stay here! It’s a gem in near the end of the hotel zone. When I come back to Tulum, I’ll definitely come back here. I love it so much! Free parking, complimentary breakfast, beautifully kept, cenotè in the back. Just perfect.

Excellent hotel. Would definitely stay again. It’s a cheaper place but just as nice as some of the other more expensive ones on Tulum beach.

What a serene and magical place. Off the beaten path of bustling Tulum but bikeable to the action. Staff was so kind and accomodating. The bungalows are adorable and comfortable. It's a very special posada.

I was so excited for my birthday trip to Tulum. I was especially excited to stay at the Cormoran, in the jungle rooftop room, that I paid EXTRA for! How disappointing it was to be given a room that I did not request, that was a downgrade. I was told there’s only one room like that and it’s already booked! I assumed I would be refunded the extra I paid! Nope they tried to give me peso’s for a stay that I paid USD for, and it was only $35. No way is that fair, nor does it make any sense! I finally was moved to the room in which I booked, on the last day of my trip!!! Beautiful room! Simply gorgeous but I only spent 3 hours in the room, didn’t get to see the rooftop view because it was night, and didn’t even get to sleep in the bed because of my early flight. Pros: - Rooftop Jungle room is gorgeous (if you actually get the room you book) - Kind staff - Cenote (nice long adventurous walk through the jungle) Cons: - Horrible breakfast. Stale bread for toast, a few slices of fruit, tea or coffee, oats & some kind of watered down yogurt. - Flamingo room: so many bugs got in the room at night. This rooms roof isn’t completely sealed and they have open spaces - Location: very end of the hotel zone. It took an extra hour with traffic to reach the hotel. 15min walk to the closest restaurants - AC from 11p-5am but doesn’t even work! (It gets HOT) - No one knew about this hotel. Taxi drivers had a hard time finding I wouldn’t stay here again. Try Coco Tulum instead
