We got upgraded to a wonderful apartment with a big porch due to a glitch with the fridge. Karen, Gabby anf Oscar were amazing. We felt like their only guests. Great value for the size of the place we stayed in.

We would've loved to have breakfast or a restaurant however everything was so walkable on the island that it was totally fine

Property is located in smaller island (Isla Carenero) across the main island of Isla Colon ,five-minute boat ride from main port. Nice dock and seating areas, small convenience store for basics, good amount of tropical trees around buildings providing shade from sun. The units were top-notch, fully equipped (kitchen, AC, smart TV) with a lot of space including living room area and patio area. Property manager on site to handle any questions, issues, and help with tour planning.

We loved the location. It was remote and quiet but a quick water taxi ride away from the main island.

We were hopeful that the pool would be open by thrntime we arrived. It’s still under construction, but gives us something to look forward to next year when we return

Perfect location close to Bocas town, calm and secluded but still close to everything. A short walk to the beach, and Karen helped us book tours and taxi boats during our visit. Highly recommend!

Everything about our stay here was exceptional. We were within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. It was easy to catch a water taxi to go to the main island. Our room was very comfortable and was well equipped. Karen was great to communicate with and responded quickly to any requests. She also made good recommendations for places to eat and water taxis to use. It was a perfect 4 night stay for us!

Karen the host and her staff were amazing at communicating, great location right on the water and good facilities eg kayaks and paddle boards! Very easy to walk around the island from here for food and beaches!

The kitchen facilities were a little worn but still had everything we needed to cook. A curtain on the front door would be nice for some privacy especially with a lot of workmen walking past.

The location is absolutely serene. Every day was relaxing in large part due to the beautiful natural surroundings. The tropical vegetation and beautiful waters of the island are nothing short of magical. The resort host, Karen, is incredible and made sure we had great local information and all of our needs were cared for. This is truly only of the best vacation spots we have ever visited.

Together with my 13-year-old daughter I had the pleasure to spend one week in the Pirate Arts Resort on Carenero Island. At first, I was hesitant to fly all the way from Germany to Panama but luckily my daughter insisted. And it was so worth it. Before we even sat foot on the island, we were very well taken care of. Weeks in advance, the managing director sent us a welcome letter which included how to get there, a very nice selection of trips and excursions to do, where to eat, etc. It also included some very practical tips in terms of which insect-repellent to buy and to stop at the local supermarket to buy the snacks you will be craving after dinner. When we finally sat foot on the island it felt like stepping into another world. There was the main house with the restaurant (it was closed when we visited but will be reopened in December and the whole operations will be run by a German chef – funny coincidence) and then there were a couple of separate 2-story houses with apartments in a tropical garden. Oh, that garden. So well maintained and so beautiful. Our apartment had a huge veranda with a table for four, a hammock, some lounge chairs (this is where I enjoyed my morning coffee) and 2 deck-chairs. Ah, and there was a star-fruit tree right in front of our house and we took full advantage of it 😊 On the veranda was a huge ventilator to keep the mosquitos away. Inside the apartment we had a big room with a fully furnished kitchen and living room with lots of books and board games. Our suite had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. All the rooms have air-conditioning and ventilators. I also loved the fact that there were flower arrangements on every table and a fruit basket in the kitchen. Yummy. Behind the house was a washing-machine and a dryer – all very convenient. The people working there were very friendly – it felt more like a community. Depends on your needs but it does require a trip for dining out. Not necessarily a negative just an observation
