Lake House at High Peaks Resort

DO NOT STAY HERE! The Lake House is the neglected step child of the main hotel. Building not maintained and absolutely NO STAFF. Staff at main hotel (where you have to go if you need anything or anyone to help you) are untrained and not helpful at all. To add insult to injury we were awoken out of bed to move our car for the tearing up of the parking lot...

The building we stayed in was old. There was a loud waterfall that came off the roof when it rained which was every day of our stay. When we complained about it the first day the front desk in a building across the street (same owner) told us there was nothing they could do and they didn't have a comparable room available. The staff was incompetent! From the bungled check in to the lack of information about a major tank removal scheduled on the day of our departure, which was located under our parked vehicle and required us to move early in the morning. Work had already started with a worker chiseling a ground cover 5 feet away from my vehicle when I arrived to move it. At checkout we were told no manager was available to address our complaints but they would take our number, which they did and never called.

We loved our stay at the Lake House. Nice view of the lake from our balcony. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was so helpful!

Expedia did not tell the truth when booking this hotel. Wanted a waterfront room and was put in a lake view room. Also paid Expedia a resort fee and the hotel also said it was not charged and was charged again. The hotel stated that I paid 109.00 for the room thru Expedia and they charged 149.00 for a total of 170.00 with resort fee and taxres

Everything was good, but the pool table wasn’t available and that was one of the things that made me choose this hotel

The place was nice and clean. It's really good for its price. And tbh the bed of this hotel is not itchy. I am really sensitive to dirt and stuff that's why I do notice things like this. Even though there's no microwave in the room, they can bring one and will just charge you. It's fine tho.
