HOTEL CASA SANTO TOMAS

To say the staff was helpful and accommodating would be a gross understatement. Despite any language issues with my limited Spanish and the staff’s English abilities, we collaborated through communication barriers with the help of Google Translate. Janet did a fine job checking us in after we had been awake for 24 hours. God bless her!

Neat, clean, simple room. Great location. Great place for its price. Free hot coffee near the reception desk. Recommend!

Water drain problem in a basin. I requested staffs about it but I couldn’t find any difference while staying there. Since it has a bar in a lounge, it could be a bit noisy if you care. I was okay with my ear plugs.

It had a good location

No signal. Terrible wifi. No wifi inside the room and no signal so very hard to watch a movie or try to use a phone or computer. If you need to work or be conected I do not recomend coming here. The staff was great they treied to help me but it was not aomething they could fix.

Terrible. There was a party at the hotel bar, the music was extremely loud. I requested to lower the volume but the person at the reception, didn't follow the request and the music continued to be loud almost until midnight. Given this situation, I left the hotel and had to find another one. On the plus side, I requested and received a full refund next day. I'd like to highlight the lack of firmness and proactivity of the reception to solve the problem while it was happening.

We were attracted to this hotel because it looked like good value for money considering the location. If those are the two most important factors for you in Oaxaca then Hotel Santo Tomas is a good option but you need to bear in mind the following: There is no safe in the room. The bed is large but very firm and the material of the mattress protector makes it quite sweaty. The water pressure in the shower is poor, especially the hot tap. There is a bar downstairs that plays loud live music until 12am most nights; it was very bassy so you can't expect to sleep until the music has finished, even with ear plugs or white noise. There's a courtyard that patrons of the bar can access and it leads directly to the hotel rooms; this combined with the lack of safe did make me a bit concerned for security of our items etc. Overall I was satisfied with our stay because it was so cheap and the location meant we could pop in and out throughout the day but if I were to return to Oaxaca I wouldn't stay here again.

The staff lied to us about how loud the bar was going to be and we’re unhelpful. The water came out in a dark brown color from the bathroom faucet, the hot water took a really long time. The beds weren’t comfortable. Terrible value for the money

Solo les pido que le digan a su personal de limpieza que no pueden estar hablando desde las 8 am de la mañana a lado de las habitaciones. No paraban de hablar!! Terrible Y las ventanas dan al patio central.

Der var så meget larm på dette hotel. Baren tilknyttet hotellet spillede så høj musik og hotellet lod bargæsterne ind i hotellets gård, hvilket gjorde det umuligt at sove…
