The staff was wonderful. In particular the lady at the front desk

The toilet in the first room wouldn't flush so I had to be moved. The carpets need to be replaced desperately in hallways. The rooms need some really deep cleaning in the corners and things like that. I realize the building's old but the cleaning staff should really dig in.

We did the check-in prior to arrival. So glad we did. We arrived earlier than anticipated (good traffic) but that wasn't a problem for the front desk. They already had our room ready and just handed us the key. WOOHOO! We always enjoy this place. The location is fantastic and convenient to where we like to be. Rooms are always clean and comfy. We've commented before, but continue to appreciate the security they have during the overnight. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Only thing I didn't like about this trip was that there was a family emergency and we had to go back home early. Don't worry, we'll be back at our next weekend getaway!

Location. Clean inside room except long black hairs in the shower. Quiet.

Used needles in grass on dog walk. Long black hairs in shower. No ice on same floor as room; only available on the 4th floor. Nearly zero amenities…even cheaper hotels offer a welcome station with fresh, hot coffee and fruit-infused iced water for free. Worst of all is advertising as Pet Friendly and letting guests arrive and be told “Pets can’t be in room unattended”. Really?! How about putting that information on the website. We had a medical appointment at Mayo Clinic. They don’t allow dogs! We had to leave the hotel for every meal because they don’t have any in-room service and we were there for two nights. We’re human. We get hungry and restaurants don’t allow pets. Our toy poodle is 100% quiet and has always been well behaved. We have stayed here before and were never told our pet couldn’t stay in the room unattended. So disappointed to be forced to break the rules but we had no advance warning and no ability to change our plans. Unfortunately, after staying in this facility numerous times we won’t be able to book here again.
