Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Williamsburg

The staff was friendly. The lobby was clean and very inviting.

We payed $12.00 dollars to park in the hotel parking lot. There was no other business around it. I didn't think that was fair. No contintial breakfast unless you paid for it. ( 16.99) Which is way to much even if we did pay for it. A smaller breakfast should be included with room price. Overall it was great. Could stand to be updated.

Our heat in our room quit working in the middle of the night. We called our front desk and they sent up a maintenance guy. He tried to fix the issue but stated he wasn’t able to. We were told we would be comped for the room due to the heat if we did not want to switch rooms due to the time. We agreed and were told to come to the front desk about 9am to speak with the manager. We went to the front desk at 9am and we were told the manager was running a little behind. However the front desk lady, Jennifer, stated she has already handled it and half of the room was going to be comped and refunded back to the card we used. We checked out on December 7th the same day this conversation took place as our reservation was just for the one night. While speaking to Jennifer I asked is there any way she could give me some type of paper showing the refund has been sent. She stated no but she would send an email after manager arrived. She stated refund would be in account within 5 business days. I as well as my fiance have called the hotel multiple times and even left a voicemail on one of the recorded lines with no response. I am very disappointed with this service we have been given. We are reward members, I regrettably will be booking with a different hotel for all our travel stays.

We were traveling for the holidays and originally booked two nights at the Hampton Inn. After a disappointing first night there we checked out and moved to the Doubletree where were given a very nice room and greeted warmly. Rich and Regan at the front desk were helpful with making the rest of our short stay a pleasant one. The bartender, Gabriel, was very accommodating to put on our football game in the sports bar and he made one of the best Old Fashioned I’ve had in a long time! It came smoked under a glass dome! He made our time there relaxing and we felt appreciated as guests.

Location was perfect. Easy commute to downtown, colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown & Yorktown. Room was clean & had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of thick fluffy towels. Staff were polite & friendly. Special shout out to Brendan who a pleasure to talk to.
